This was said in the other thread. But I'm not sure how in we were in the first place if we were in at all, and we could still be in because Werder just seems to be throwing around team names.

He's saying Jets and Panthers are in when another report is saying Jets are out and the Panther's GM himself said they don't want him. He also left out the Bills who last I heard were interested yet he doesn't say they are in or out.
I think he's just trying to put his name out there and maybe help the agent create a smokescreen.

With the ever increasing media exposure to the draft these talking heads often just throw out some connect the dots possibilities- and often the dots don't even connect so well. They're all jockeying for the best breaker of stories. Things is, they throw shite against the wall, it doesn't stick, no one remembers or cares. If it happens to stick they put a feather in their cap and crow.

CORRECT...just like all their dumb predictions, they never even keep cumulative records..LOL

They throw out rumors just so that they can set the agenda and they can talk about what they want to talk about.
Throw out a rumor that "Sources say the Jets might possibly maybe perhaps be interested in DeSean Jackson" and then they can have a SportsCenter headline story like "Is DeSean Coming to New York City?"
Notice that he omits the Bills from his list of suitors. Mainly because that's not the story they want to talk about. Nobody in the media wants to talk about the Bills. But if we made up shite about the Jets--now THAT would be interesting!

All of this is true. But, if you are reasonable about the amount we would be willing to spend...and you read between the lines of what he is going to get on the open market, you can draw some pretty reasonable conclusions.
