Ok - Being out of state I listen to WWL online so that I can hear local football news. Most all of you seem to think these guys are really bad. I guess I don't know any better because I don't listen to anything else to compare to.
Can you provide me some links that are to better programming? What I don't want is national garbage that is going to waste my time on other nonsense - I can get that on my radio already.
I don't seem to find this pair as horrible as most of you seem to. Enlighten me a bit.

I prefer sports hangover on 690 WIST, but it comes on earlier in the day. I just really hate how deke is always a huge dick to a number of callers. I wouldn't mind Bobby solely in a post game role, but he just seems to ramble too much and always cuts off callers. In their defense though, they do get some dumb fricking callers.

It's really not though.
I will admit that the show has it's flaws. For one, Larry has a big ego. I think he makes some poor choices sometimes, like having Sean Pamplilon on and letting him ramble on.
Sometimes they do ride the jock of bigger markets/national sports reporters.
They can be condescending towards fans sometimes prematurely.
Overall, I think Larry and Gus or fair. They blow wwl out of the water.

I listened to that the other day. Do they always take that many station breaks? I'm not knocking it at all, the local sports talk show in Mobile is about as vanilla as it gets. Sadly I've found myself listening to the Paul Finebaum show on the way home from work every day and it is more entertaining than our local show. We do have all the Saints games available on gameday here but that is really the only time I listen to WWL.

I'm gonna make a podcast and just read the threads and comments as they appear, and ill do it in a calm soothing voice no matter what the comment says, so you can listen to it at work without a problem. Million dollar idea? maybe so.

Me too. Mike and Mike is for idiots. SVP is really the only good show on there.
