1. QB Depending upon what happens with Drew obviously
2. Weakside rush end. We still need that 6'2-6'3 255lb pass rushing mofo
3. Impact LB(s). Klein is flexible at Sam or Mike. So we can draft the best one available and move Klein as needed. Anzalone is doing well but also could theoretically be upgraded if opportunity presents itself. Robertson's last year under contract. Would only save 1.6.
4. WR, Snead will be a UFA. (eta: correction, he's still RFA in '18) Ginn is doing ok but maybe not making as much of a difference as we possibly hoped in passing game. Need to always keep threats oppo Mike Thomas.

1. I would bring back Robertson if nothing else as a backup.
2.Get another speedy WR
3. Not sure how many years Unger has left on contract but maybe get a C in top 4 rounds to sit behind him a year or 2.
4. Bring in a decent vet to backup at T
5. As always, best available with 1st pick

I think we should definitely consider QB in the first round or 3 regardless of what Drew does. It's time to start thinking about the future, even if the guy sits for a year or 2.

I agree with your list.

Snead is a RFA next year, not an UFA.

That's part of why they were in no rush to extend him this year and why there was no threat of a hold out.

He'll get tagged with the second round tender and we'll discuss an extension.

Agree, even if Brees comes back on another 2 year deal or whatever. Going after a QB in first 2 rounds would be good, as long as we aren't reaching for him.

If drew signs a 3 or 4 yr extension, i'm fine with rolling with the semi vet backup again. Use draft value to keep rounding out talent on roster. But i'd also be fine with the drafting of one if a guy they love was there for them.

We were one KC trade away from having our (hopeful) QB of the future this year. They are definitely serious about finding one asap. I won't be surprised if we took one in the first, even trading up to do so (especially if Drew does leave), even if Brees sign a 3-4 year extension/deal.

We need a DT. Rankins isn't that good. I agree QB in the first round.

I would be surprised if Saints signed Brees to a deal more than 2 years at his age. I think a 2 year deal is pretty good at this point.

He was an ERFA (exclusive rights) this year, meaning no other team could even talk with him and we only had to offer him league minimum to retain his rights.

Any player that's a FA heading into their second or third year is an ERFA, unless they were waived and went unclaimed (but then rights may revert back to the original team but not 100% on that).

Heading into your fourth year as a FA makes you a RFA. Fifth year on and you are an UFA.

DT would have been my next up. Beefing the lines is always a solid move.

Because high quality FA pass rushers are so expensive I would hope we look in the draft for one.

Would like to see more from the TE position next year via FA or draft.

A quality C/G in the draft please.

A pass rushing LB'er.

The last 1-2 years would be dummy years to push cap.

In reality he signed a 4 year extension last year, but it auto voids at the start of the coming offseason.

I see something similar if we do sign/extend him.

I mean maybe but he looked pretty decent for a rookie who missed a lot of college. I like his upside.

He's had 2 shoulder problems in college and now a third we're waiting word on.

I like your list, but also think we need a playmaker TE. I believe that is what's holding this offense back a little.

Fleener 29 ufa 2021 (don't think we keep him this long) , Hill 27 contract up in '19 (injury prone) HooMan 29 contract up in '19 (not really a receiver threat)

I believe we throw money at Kirk Cousins, before we decide on brees

I feel like we still need corners. Im happy Crawley has had a few nice games, but I cant see us settling with Lattimore, Breaux, and Crawley as our top three especially when you consider the injury history of Lattimore and Breaux.

Pass rusher is a must, and I'd like to see another receiver and some O line depth.

This. I like Anzalone, but I don't think we can afford to rely on him. I like that we seem to have built more depth, so there are plenty directions we can go but no real"must haves."
