You do not recall correctly. He hired good assistants as told, then he was paranoid that they were all trying to replace him and clashed with them. Erman made a really bad decision to record conversations without people's knowledge and that's what got him fired.

Erman wasn't on staff when Jackson got canned. Jackson had fired him months earlier.

Gentry, Erman, and Pack is a hell of a coaching staff.
I really hope we keep Hanson. He's done damn good work with our bigs. That would give us a great offensive coach, a great defensive coach, a great guard coach, and a good big coach.
