I'm a Duke fan and loved it when we drafted him. At one of the games last year, I bought a Mardi Gras Rivers jersey before it started...saw him walk out of the tunnel and I hung it over the rail..he walked over and signed it and we talked for a few minutes. Very nice guy. Not a douche. Fact.

What sucks is that there was really no one else that we could have taken at 10 last year that would really make more of an impact than Rivers has. After Drummond was taken at 9, the talent level fell off a cliff. I guess Meyers Leonard would have been a better pick, but even then it's a stretch.

Yeah, I'd definitely trade Rivers for Harkless at this point.

Why the hell is he on the team?

If Rivers lives up to his potential he's probably a Jerryd Bayless, Jarret Jack type, bench combo guard. With the guards we currently have on the team he honestly has no place other than 4th or 5th guard. But if we have to trade Gordon for a 3/5 then he will start getting minutes regularly. He's just caught up in a numbers game right now and Brian Roberts both outplayed him in preseason and is better suited to play off ball with Tyreke.

Sorry you couldn't get in, bro. FWIW, I preferred my 4 years @ LSU to my 3 @ Duke.

He cost AD some games with the concussion last year and another time flying around out of control he crashed into AD's knees costing a few more games. Maybe it is a sign...

I just can't see him becoming anything like Jack. He will probably be a better defender than Jack, but I just can't imagine him being the scorer that Jack is.

Good reason not to trade Gordon, imo.

id still rather jeremy lamb...

he can actually hit free throws, this year he is:

12/26 (46.2 fg%), 2/2 ft, 9.3pts, 3rebs, 1ast in 18 minutes

not bad for a role player off the bench

There are like 5 starting players from that 2012 draft. Most are busts or still developing their game and finding a role in the L
