What's the next step towards becoming a title contender?

Is a coaching change and more time to gel enough to push this team over the top?
Posted this in another thread, but if I'm Dell I listen to offers for Anderson and Evans this summer. If the right offers aren't there, move on. Keep the rest of the roster in place regardless.
Turning Anderson and/or Evans into defensive minded, lower usage players would be great for the team if the offers are there. Batum would be a huge addition - long, athletic defender, competent on offense but doesn't demand the rock. Those are the types of players I want to surround Davis with.

I hope so. I love the way we're playing. Fun to watch, even without Evans, Holiday and Anderson. That's what makes me think swapping offensively oriented guys for defensively oriented guys is the right move. Davis can carry the team. We need guys who will get him the ball, hit open shots when he's doubled, and play defense. Much like Gordon is doing right now.

Right, and I think we need more of that. Davis is proving that he doesn't need other high usage players. Trading two high usage players who are below average defenders for two low usage players who are above average defenders would be a step in the right direction.

I think a player like Kris Middleton or Batum and decent health season long can push this team at least into the conversation with the elite teams

As much shite as I've given Monty, if we make the playoffs, you have to keep them. The guy has done a great job of integrating these in season additions. Add on the injuries, etc..

Yep gotta admit the team has done well now that dell has given him NBA caliber bench players to fill out the rotation. Maybe that's all he needed...
