Post the d rating again.

No need. I only posted it to show the difference in offense easily makes up for the difference in defense.

WS/48, Box Plus Minus, and VORP are offensive stats now? You really are a troll.

AD's offense is better than Dwight's offense.

Dwight's defense is better than AD's offense.

So in theory its 50/50, until you actually consider and look at the numbers AD's offense is +27 to dwight's where his defense is only -5. AD is +30, Dwight is +8. As an individual, that is a 375% fold increase.

Gotta understand, that's why Boom puts words like "Almost guarantees". It saves his hind, but I was curious myself.

Year 1: 18th (107.3)
Year 2: 24th (107.5)
Year 3: 6th (104.1)
Year 4: 6th (105.5)
Year 5: 1st (101.9) - Finals
Year 6: 3rd (103.3)
Year 7: 3rd (102.0)
Year 8: 12th (104.1)
Orlando after dwight: 25th (109.1)

LAL before Dwight: 13th (104.4)
Year 1: 20th (106.6)
LAL after Dwight: 28th (110.6)

Houston before Dwight: 16th (106.1)
Year 1: 13th (106.3)
Year 2: 3rd (98.1)

Thanks for numbers! I wasn't sure but I didn't think he was ALWAYS on top defenses, I think this years increase is due more to trading parsons with ariza IMO

Not sure but of course you are aware that Howard had back surgery in 2012, he really hasn't gotten back to himself until this season.

Yeah I know he did, you had just said that having him on your team guarantees a top team defense, which he didn't have in years 1,2,8,9,10 of his career, take out 9 for the injury though, I think he only played in half of those and he didn't enjoy being there so that could have effected him negatively so we won't include that, still 4 years though

Not saying anything about him as a defensive player, I personally think he's a wonderful player who will be in the running for DPOY but I just wanted to show that having him doesn't necessarily gaurantee a top defense, although it doesn't hurt haha

There's one thing, you can't deny Dwight being a very solid interior anchor for his team. He's one of the best defenders in the game and I won't deny that.

What is very arguable is who is more important and who is the better overall player and there is no denying that it is AD right now.

I'm actually kinda thinking he's serious when he says AD isn't as good Dwight.
