You seriously need to shut the frick up about Monty. You are the only human being who follows the Hornets and doesn't like him.

Hearing that Milwaukee made strong late push for Hornets' Carl Landry but no deal could be consummated by 3 p.m. ET trade deadline.

If it involved Jennings and we couldn't get it done because they waited until the last minute then I will be fricking pissed. I hope they never release the trade details.

So a 2nd round pick basically.

Next question-

How do today's moves affect the 2012 lottery, both in who owns picks and what needs each team has?

Teams whose moves directly affect the lottery would have to include Portland, Golden State, Washington, and New Jersey.

Washington's already bad and the other three are likely going into full tank mode to improve their lottery position.

Interesting day in that we did nothing. Haha. I like that we didn't just settle for any old crap deal just to do it though. Kaman is worth more than a 2nd rounder to me. Dude's been a double double machine lately. If you don't get offered what you want, then don't take it. I like that style.

A lot of teams were willing to deal today, but I feel like our FO got too cocky and greedy...

I don't think the problem was on our FO... more likely that no team wanted to waste time talking to us if Stern was reserving the right as "owner" to kill any of Dell's trades.

Time's at a premium when it comes to the trade deadline. Talking with us was going to be a waste of that time for many teams.

So the two offers we know the specifics about are Kwame and a 2nd for Landry, and Jamison for Okafor and the TWolves pick. Which of those do you think we should have jumped on?

Landry is worth a lot more than Kwame and a 2nd rounder considering both contracts are expiring, and frick giving up a lottery pick just to dump Oak. Glad we didn't trade just to trade. The truth is, we really have nothing of value except expiring contracts and you can't expect to get too much for an expiring.

Well considering we were in talks with the Bucks for Jennings, the Blazers for Wallace, the Pacers for at least a 2nd rounder.....i think we could've gotten Sessions for Kaman.....or even gotten McGee and Young for Kaman and a first from the Wizards......so if ur implying sarcasm there, I'm just stating that I think we had opportunities but prolly asked for more on each of those trades.

Considering what? We know that we were in discussions with them. We don't know what the cost for any of those players were. That you assume we got "greedy and cocky" is just horseshite.

So give up a large expiring and a valuable first for one guy that can walk after this season, and another guy that is a functioning retard that could do the same if he gets an offer we don't want to match? Would you really rather McGee next season than take a shot on a good prospect for 4 years?

The Wizards wanted Nene because he's under a long-term contract for less than McGee wanted next year. Kaman wouldn't have done anything for them because they'd need to negotiate a new deal.

As far as Sessions goes, the salaries don't come close to matching up. We'd have had to eat about $9m in additional contracts to make a deal work.

Why is Landry worth more than that? He is worth nothing to us at all. He has 20 more games with us and then he expires. A 2nd rounder is better than nothing.

Although highly unlikely, its possible we could do S&Ts for expiring players like Landry, Kaman etc and get a 2nd rounder or a TPE this offseason.
