Lol really? You think Moore will ever be as good as 15-16 Jackson? If we can bring out that production out of the guy, he'd take so much pressure off of Holiday and he can close games.

1) Jackson is a near elite PNR guard, and we've seen how devastating AD can be as the roll man
2) RJ, AD, DC and jrue = $100MM in salary next year

this trade makes the team better this year, at a cap crippling cost after that

Wow I just looked this up. Last season Reggie Jackson ranked 457 out 468 NBA players in defensive RPM and ranked 438 in RPM Wins....

His defense was fine in OKC.

I think the pelicans are gonna have to take risks like this in their situation..

Hopefully playing with guys like AD/DC/Jrue will motivate Jackson to cut the crap and play up to his potential

Hopefully he could do for us what EG/Ryno did for the rockets last year

There's no question he was a good player before last season. The question is was last year an aberration that time to heal and a change of scenery will fix.

I don't get this fanbase:

Claim dell's doing nothing: complain

He does something: complain

I don't absolutely love jackson but it's a very interesting gamble and he put up PERs of:

2013: 15.5
2014: 17.2
2015: 19.6

He had a rough year last year but still was around 15

Well fricking said. Some of our idiot fans just do nothing but complain. At least Demps is trying to do something, I can give him that. Our team that we have right now will do absolutely nothing. IF we were to trade for Jackson, it would only make us better if anything.

I would certainly prefer bledsoe but that was cost a likely top 5 protected first and similar(if not) more assets than RJax

And we know about Bleds injury issues over the years

Just keep in mind y'all are arguing to go out and get a guy that you gotta pull up career stats to clarify he's better than Moore and pay him $17 mil per year.

Sure. And four years ago Luol Deng averaged 19 points a game but you don't see us trading for him.

The fact is his defense has declined consistently each year. And now he seems to be ranked at the bottom of the league in that category.

just because Jackson was a semi-decent defender 4 years ago that doesn't mean we can ignore that fact that he was at the bottom of the league in defense last year. stats from 4 years ago do not equal stats for today

The only reason people want this move to happen is because we're thirsty for some type of offseason movement. I get it, the team as it is constructed now has no chance to be a contender, so naturally, you want to see some new blood... but you have to take a step back and realize that with this move, assuming it's Moore/Ajinca for Jackson straight up, could potentially hurt us more than it could help us.

When one guy makes $17m/yr and the other guy makes $8m/yr... yeah it kind of does.
