Huey it's not just me. Look at my pole. The GM one. Only 7 GMs said Davis was the best at his position compared to 12 for Howard. Seems easy to decode who NBA GMs are thinking is the better player.

Notice how he conveniently ignores the part of his "pole" where GMs were asked who they'd take to build a team around.

AD is better today. It's not even a question. He has a more versatile offensive game, he's a better defender, and he isn't a shitty teammate. The fact that he still has upside while Dwight is in decline only furthers his cause.

Harden is only 25, if they (the gms) thought he was better than Davis then he would have received some votes.

Dwight's teammates love him in Houston. And unlike Davis he has shown the ability to lead a team into the playoffs all the way to the finals.

Dwight is living off of reputation alone. He's quickly becoming a mediocre defender. The GMs are starting to realize it. That's why his rankings in those surveys are falling so steeply.

That means the sandwiches are working.

Keep talking smack while you can though. Dwight is an established player and we are projecting a bit based on how AD keeps improving. Pretty much everyone of your precious respected experts is expecting AD to make a jump into the top 3 discussion this year. I would expect a lot of "see we were right Boom" next year when the survey comes out, but AD does need to prove it before we can claim it, and I fully expect he will this year.

The bologna and cheese sandwiches with the crust cut off that your mom makes for you every day. She thinks it's so cute when you make Cheetoh fingerprints all over it.

Dwight anchored a team that was top 10 all year in defense. If Davis was as good as Dwight defensively the team that he anchored wouldn't have been in the bottom 10% of nba defenses.

So Dwight was hard hedging and defending guards 20 feet away from the basket? AD still has/had some maturing to do as a defender and Monty's scheme didn't help. The addition of Asik and not as much hard hedging in the preseason gives us hope that he will be anchoring a top 10 defense this year.

I'm just gonna give it to you, as of this VERY moment, yes Dwight is a better, more seasoned player/vet.

Now the question is, when AD plays better than Howard will you admit it?
