So far what I've read to describe heild on this board is the shot of Curry, the body of Harden, the game of Wade, being nba ready like Lillard, and combo guard skills of cj.

Ah yes, the old "combine the worst posts you can find from multiple posters and conflate them into a giant caricature and attack that caricature" argument.

Never seen that one on message boards before lol.

I think you need a hug or something 504. This haterade you have been downing day after day on Hield has to be taking its toll by now. Especially on a subject like who to draft that ultimately us fans will have no bearing on.

And all you've regurgitated was Luwawu is the next Kawhi Leonard at best or Nicolas Batum at worst.

And to you, Hield is the next Jodie Meeks or JJ Redick

You did not just compare Heild to Wade. They are literally nothing a like. Wade was 6'3 with a 7'0 wingspan and one of the most athletic and explosive players in the game. He was one of the best in slashing and getting to the rim and drawing foul. Heild is none of those so stop posting. I can't wait till next season so I can say told you so for being the only fan base to dumbly over hype better Jodie Meeks.

Lulz.

Hield measured at 6'4" with a 6'8.5" wingspan so it's not like we're talking about someone in a different stratosphere height and length-wise.

Also, I mentioned that Wade was a more athletic player. Now will you mention that Hield is a SUBSTANTIALLY better shooter? Given where the game has evolved, this dead-eye shooting ability will come in awful handy.

Lastly, Hield was known as primarily a slasher early in his career. He's worked tremendously to improve his three-point game. He's not a guy who shoots cause he can't make plays off the bounce, far from it.

All you have to do is watch the game right now to see how diverse this kid is offensively.

He is really doing it all right now EXCEPT knocking down 3's: slashing, drawing fouls, transition playmaking, backdoor cutting, defense, boarding, off ball play, drawing defenders away for teammates to score and he should have 3 assists by now but his teammates haven't hit the open looks he got em.

I am not sure Wade is the right comparison but Hield is more then some want to describe him.

I agree I don't LOVE the Wade comparison, but I think there are some similarities.

He might be a thicker version of Ray Allen. And for those who only know late Ray from his elder years, let me remind yal that Ray was a fvcking BOSS back in his prime.

If he keeps this up he might not be TBH.

Though if things play out exactly as is, Most if not all of the teams in front of us probably don't need a SG.

LA and PHI make the obvious picks. Phoenix and Minny have their SG's for the moment. Boston could possibly take him but they also need a big man that can board and they have Bradley. Given the picks they have, maybe Bender or Poetl could be intriguing to them.

I'm worried about Minny at 5. They have enough "project" prospects on their team. Hield would be an amazing fit next to Rubio/KAT/Wiggins. Also gives them flexibility to potentially trade one of their guards.

He needs to work on his decision making though. He goes for some good stretches and has a few bad decisions

1.) Lavine looks good. Like really dang good to finish this season. Shooting over 50% from the field AND 50% from 3 and notching 20 ppg the last 10 games. They're good at SG haha.

2.) Rumor is they aren't committed to Rubio. Dunn could be a pretty intriguing pick in their scenario.

The guy just got done doing a lot of the things you said he wouldn't or couldn't do and your first reaction is to come in here and find the first opening to hate on him.

I mean it is one thing to say I would prefer player X over Y, I am not sure he can be this or that but I might be wrong. it's another to act like taking player X would guarantee a subpar outcome like you are constantly doing.

If you are this good at scouting, I hope you can provide a top 10 list in order of future success so we can all bask in your glory and maybe set up a cush lead scout position with the team.

Seeing Hield work ethic, I doubt he be a Meeks or Reddick (before he turned good)

1. I never hated on the kid, and kid? we're the same age.

2. I never said he wouldn't be good. I'm saying he's not who yall are hyping him to be. He's more of a JJ Reddick role player than a corner stone of your team who is must have. I rather go for guys with higher ceiling who can become starts in this leauge. Also no matter how much you like him you have to admit his ceiling is much more limited than most other top prospects. Even if you think he will go pass it because of his work ethic.

I said a better version of Jodie Meeks

You get it man he will be a good player but he will be a guy who's look for his shot, take bad shots and not offer much but scoring. He will be more efficient than the usually chucker though. He will be a nice role player but not what we need which is shooting, defending, pass, and high iq.

They could maybe look at PF or Dunn. They're not committed to Rubio, but they also aren't going to give him away. Besides, most of the Rubio Rumor Mill was based around Lavine playing PG from what I heard at least. They have a luxury with so much youth locked up for 2+ years to really just go BPA. This team could actually get scary good with a couple of tweaks and better injury luck. They'll be fun to watch moving forward.
