Besides the "mutual want to separate", why should we trade TJ? He's a great back up. Unless we think we can get something for him, just leave him here and add through free agents.

No I've heard rumblings of moving him(not to us obviously)

They've been testing the market

TJ wouldn't be a terrible fill in

TJs minutes are going to go down. He could become the 3rd PF/C and play opposite of AD and DC when they are not on the floor together.

he isn't, at all. Was being facetious. Don't need or want Mack either with his 30% 3

We're also not planning to resign him, so get what value out of him while you can. The main thing he brought, post scoring, is not needed now that Cousins is here. Even if you're looking at as what's best for the rest of the season, Jones is a scorer, DMo is a facilitator, if you were having one of AD or Cousins on the floor at all times, who's the better fit? I think DMo is.

Because he did us a solid by coming here and playing on the minimum and his minutes are about to be cut. Because we want to have a good reputation with players who come to play for the minimum to pump up their value here.

Most importantly because he is repped by Dan Fegan who wants him to go somewhere he can more fully showcase for his next contract. Fegan also represents Cousins who we really, really want to re-sign here, so staying on his good side is important.

If we aren't bringing him back next year, he may be someone we can get something for. Once they max Holiday they will be limited in adding new pieces. So taking advantage of trading a cheap try out for a team may be beneficial to us.

Only thing is I don't know about y'all, but I'm just waiting for DMo's back to start bothering him again.

I don't know what the long term solution is for that role/spot on the team.

But I agree we need to go ahead and part with Jones and get what we can for him.

Diallo is the long term solution. I have my realistic bar set at a Faried/Tristan Thompson 25-30 MPG hustle big. I don't think the people that have called him Baby Ibaka are crazy. I hope he's not a casualty of other trades we'll be making in the future because that will be one hell of a 3 big rotation in a few years.

Cavs re-signed Derrick Williams to a 10 day contract and bringing in Larry Sanders for a workout. They are also supposedly in talks for Beverly. Looking less like a destination for Jones. Seemed like such a perfect fit with Love being out so long since Jones is a minimum guy with outsized production who wouldnt cause tax problems.

Im with you. People forget he still isn't old enough to legally purchase alcohol.

But he still has some coming along to do if he is going to be that guy to play along side AD or DC

Would love to see Terrence + Alexis for Alex Abrines.

Regardless, they have to trade TJones. We bought him for nothing, so if we can flip him for real assets it would be a major steal.

Crewz is being eerily quiet....I think something is going down and he's keeping it to himself

He played well enough last year for a minimum at least

He was quiet leading up to and directly after the Boogie trade if I remember correctly.

I would imagine things are changing too much to put out useful information at this point. Especially if we're trying to be a 3rd team facilitator.
