And type of package deal we can do to get oladipo. I know he's not a big perimeter threat but was just curious

No. OKC is looking to add, not subtract.

Alex Abrines can really shoot the 3 from 2 guard, hes also 6'6.

Abrines for Ajinca and Jones works salary wise.

Get rid of Ajincas contract....

I don't see anyone on their roster worth the value of Jones. I'd agree with Morrow but his 3pt percentage this year is abysmal

Why would they give up Abrines for that?

Jones, Asik, and a 2nd Round pick to any team offering an expiring contract. No return value needed.

What would Jones be on OKC, its fourth big?

How is that any different than New Orleans?

I think you mentioned another Asik package in a different thread. The amount of assets it would take to move Asik right now are not worth it. We'd be better off stretching him if we needed the cap space, but we may not even need cap space depending on what direction they go in the offseason.

We have to get something of value for Jones. Someone that has an actual skill. Wing that can hit the 3 at a solid clip would be great, even if he can't do anything else.

I'm sure Jones and his agent would be pissed if we reneged on whatever handshake they have on trading him, but I'd just keep him if we can't get dollar for dollar.

But I can't imagine 29 others teams wouldn't want his service. Dude has been solid.

its likely they'll get someTHING, not someONE. the someTHING will be used hopefully to acquire the someONE

only thing worth any value on OKC after Russ looks like Oladipo. Dude's on a great contract and plays incredible D

I know it's not happening. But damn that would be awesome

He's probably frozen in a state of shock any time Westbrook actually passes him the ball.

How ever long his contract is, give them all of our draft picks for that length.

Not sure, doesn't seem that unreasonable. Jones is a good player, they may not take Ajinca because they already have bigs, but i don't think its crazy to be able to pull Abrines giving Jones and making it work with some other pieces.

Its way more likely than pulling Oladipo like others have mentioned.

thats fine, get a 2nd and use it to pick up someone. I just don't want them going with addition by subtraction by getting out from under Asik's contract, although that would be a blessing.

I just think we still need a serviceable SF to run this machine

forget about asik
nothing is going to happen with him or his contract until they stretch him in june

ajinca might be useful as salary filler, only, in a three team trade. they'll try to get an asset for jones, use that to get a player and then sign someone off the street

theres your team till june
