In order to offer a max deal to someone next year, we will have to move either Reke, Asik or Jrue, correct?

No, there are many ways to get it done. Assuming we don't lock up Cole long term we'll have around $18.5 available if you don't resign Gordon and Ryno. KD will need about $25, so dump QPon and Ajinca and you have your cap space. That being said, moving Tyreke is probably preferable, you don't need a ball dominator with KD and AD needing shots.

No doubt. Love Reke, but if KD is on the roster, Reke would need a new home.

Dumping Reke, Q or AA should be easy, all have very palatable deals.

Just read TBW article about SFs next year. They seem to be excited about that group. Outside of KD, they look a little weak to me...

Reke would be a great 6th man. I don't know if i concur getting rid of him.

Hearing the Suns are trying to deal Markieff Morris, who has an affordable 8M/yr deal. He and Hornacek don't get along, plus Marcus is gone.

Also hearing Suns may be pursuing Ryan Anderson, among other 4s. Anderson is a premier stretch 4 and still just 27 years old. Good passer 2.

Not sure if this guy is legit or not. His twitter bio says he writes for Huffington Post and Bleacher Report.

What do they have that we'd want for Ryno? PJ Tucker? S&T of Gerald Green?

Huge Reke fan but if KD agrees to come I trad him in a hot sec. Jrue/Quincy/KD/AD/Asik is a great defensive unit with 3 40% 3pt shooters.

Markieff Morris is on a pretty nice contract that could be moved easily in the future if his legal issues resolve. He also would seem to be a much better defensive compliment to AD in a small ball rotation than Anderson. I think Morriss fits Gentry's system much better than Anderson.

The San Antonio Spurs and David West have agreed upon a one-year, $1.4 million deal.

West opted out of his $12 million deal with the Indiana Pacers to pursue a championship with a contending team.

I agree, that's pretty nuts. Maybe he just overestimated his market.

Would love a Ryno for Tucker trade. DC seems like a much better fit at PF. Tucker is a really solid defender (has given Harden fits) and is a capable corner 3 shooter. Unless one of his legs falls off, he'd be easily movable next offseason as a $5.5m expiring if we need to dump his salary.

Yeah but 1.4M? You can't tell me there weren't teams offering him something as good as 2 year/12M

I would certainly consider a Tucker for Ryan swap.

I've been thinking for awhile we need to turn Ryno's salary into a SF.

We have to get another legit backup PF though.

Yea, Kieff would be a good fit. He's not nearly the shooter than Ryno is, but he does have 3 point range and can defend the 3,4, and some 5's. He would fit really well next to AD in a "small ball" lineup.

Eh. I don't know. I'm not sold him on being as versatile as you are. I think he's a 4. And that he and Davis would occupy a lot of the same space on offense- mid range to the paint. Would he be willing to play second fiddle to Davis after a breakout year? His brother would be a better fit to me. A lesser player, but a better fit. Add some of the character/legal questions to the mix and it seems like a guy that doesn't fit the Demps profile.

PJ Tucker would be a good get, toss in Goodwin and that's a nice return for the Pels. They'll miss Anderson's spacing though. He and Davis are dynamite on offense.

not even remotely legit. he floats shite out there all the time. none of it sticks. all stinks.

as for DWest, he's been known to be a good, smart, down to earth guy. he's made a frick ton of money over his career. he's likely invested it smartly. he may really want a title, and that may very well be worth the 10 or so mil it costs him to try. don't blame him.

Besides being dickheads can the Morris twins function without each other?
