Coulibaly is the prototype of the guy you would expect the Pels to draft.

But yeah, I am seeing everyone start to say they think he will work his way into a top 10 lock.

All indications suggest the Hornets are leaning toward Brandon Miller with the No. 2 pick, per @KevinOConnorNBA

Also Max Lewis is working out here or has already. One of the few first round grade guys to workout with us so far

Bediako is the type of player we don’t currently have on the roster. True rim protecting center who is not much more than a lob threat/put back guy on offense. Could maybe see him as a 2nd rounder.

Tshiebwe and Jemison probably more UDFA types

Pels worked out GG Jackson according to Scoop B

Some guy on the pels reddit also said the pels had dinner with Dereck Lively recently.

GG Jackson is interesting because he would completely go against our "High Character" guys drafting philosophy.

GG Jackson is a player that would fit pretty nicely in terms of his skillset

Another wing that isn't a plus shooter without the playmaking chops of Naji and Herb...idk man. I guess the hope is that his terrible college situation is obscuring his true talent, or that he drops far enough the gamble becomes worth it.

I agree. Youngest player in the draft. 6'9 7ft wingspan. Offensive game is really advanced for his age. Probably one of the highest ceilings in the draft but also a very low floor. He's just supposedly very immature. Didn't really give a shite a south carolina. He needs to go to a team with a great culture and a lot of patience.

Is he a "wing". I see him as more of a PF/SmallBall Center type

He's not a wing. Think julius randle. They are about the same size, GG might be a little bigger

Dereck Lively shot the lights out from deep at a pro day a couple of weeks ago. If he can make shots from deep and is available at 14, I’d like to take him

Not this means anything at all but NBADraft's comparison for Lively:

Jaxson Hayes

I really don't see that comp. Even at Texas Jax never played like a true center. That was true in the NBA too, dude was the size of a center but played more like a power forward. Lively is a true center that excels at drop coverage and blocking shots.

Worth a look at GG especially at 14 to take a swing if they don't love anyone there. He has all the tools and a really high ceiling. He can already do a little bit of everything. Just needs polish and experience. He's immature right now but he's also the youngest kid in the draft. Wouldn't be thrilled with another project type but hard to ignore how good he could be in 2-3 years.

I’ll give them that their advanced stats in college are very comparable, but if you watched their tape, they don’t play the same at all. The JaVale McGee comparisons I’ve seen also don’t feel right either, although his measurements are closer than Jax’s. For me, the Tyson Chandler comps fit the best in both body type and style of play. He’ll still need to add some strength to be an above-average starting center and he’ll have to figure out how to translate his jump shot from practice if he doesn’t want to be played off the floor in the playoffs, but he’s got a chance to be the modern version of Chandler.

I don’t see an all-NBA ceiling for Lively, I just don’t think he’s wired that way. But I do see a guy who will know his role, do all the little things to help you win, and stick in the league for a long time. That has a lot of value at 14.

I see a potential cost controlled 5 that fits our need for a rim protector but also has some offensive potential.

Lively is a safe bet. He's not the sexy pick or has a ceiling that exceeds a role player but it just makes sense and the cheapest way to get both a shooter and rim protection.

I’m just not high on lively. Wasn’t much of a rebounder, didn’t shoot (don’t care about workout shot), not much of a passer. He’s just big and can block shots.

Wasn't alluding to Lively as a shooter. It's just a much cheaper path to find a competent shooter in free agency and get a legitimate rim protecting big through the draft.
