Nothings really happened yet. It’ll pick up in a week or so

It’s just been the combine and agency workouts. Every team is going to the agency workouts and I’m sure we talked to 75% of the guys at the combine. We’ll have a better idea of who we are interested in when we invite them to practice in Nola

I watched a guy from Portland talking about them potentially moving the 3rd pick. He threw out any interesting swap with the Pelicans.

Pelicans- #3, Little

Blazers- #14, Jones, Daniels, 25/Mil, 24/Lak

That seemed way too steep. But I am wondering if there is a deal for the #3 pick (if Henderson falls). Maybe more like #14, Jones and a future 1st (25-Bucks). Would that work?

if Henderson is there. I’m doing his original deal 100%

You’re trading away two roleplayers, 3 picks that will more than likely never be a top 3 pick. For a guy with all star potential and little. Sign me up

Pelicans working out Jalen Slawson from Furman.

5th-year senior forward who averaged 15.7 PPG, 7.1 RPG and 3.2 APG while shooting 39.4 percent from deep.

HIs 3pt % a bit misleading as he only shot 2-3 a game and only a 33% career 3pt shooter. However, he has some pretty impressive rebounding and block numbers for his size. May be someone to look at as a FA for the SL.

He has PF length even though he's 6'7. Between his rebounding and rim protection, I can see him playing some PF in the league. And while he's not a prolific shooter, at PF, all we would need from him is consistency from the corner 3. Could be a Josh Hart type.

google chrome could be useful. safari is an option on iOS. Firefox if you're into the classics.

Kris Murray, Kobe Brown, Jalen Slawson all bring that “older combo forward that can shoot” style to the table.

I would likely prefer Murray since he is the more proven shooter and is (very) slightly taller (8’10.5” reach vs 8’10” for Brown/Slawson), with Brown being next up due to higher level of competition and his size/strength advantage (250+lbs), but I like Slawson too.

You might counter and see if there is a way to do the original deal and keep the 14th pick so you can take a flyer on Derick Lively.

But if it’s anything close to a dealbreaker then yeah - if you can get Scoot without giving up BI or Trey you call it into the league asap.

Pels could do worse…legit SF (reportedly 6’7” 208 with 6’11” wingspan) with a stroke.

“[H]e’s a career [15-17ppg scorer on] 36% 3-point shooter (723 attempts) that shot a career-best 41% from distance on 6.4 attempts per game this past season at Cincinnati.“

“Nolley II connected on 42.7% of his catch-and shoot threes (124 attempts), 45.8% of his unguarded catch-and-shoot-threes (59 attempts) and 43.8% of his spot up threes (80 attempts).”

***His shooting highlights are impressive…very natural shooter, just smooth and effortless looking.

"I've heard that there are Rumors that Bilal Coulibaly has a promise in the Lottery before #14..."

-
@NBADraftWass (Wasserman from B/R)

Maybe somehow Dick falls to 14. Id assume this is Thunder. Coulibaly feels like a presti guy

Could do worse where? At 14? No way they take him at 14

No, really none of the older guys that we’ve discussed in this thread are mocked anywhere near that high. Most are being mocked as second round, except Murray, who seems to have fallen down boards a bit himself.

I’m wondering if the Pels are planning to pick up a second somewhere or if these are just in case a guy goes undrafted?

Still, I like the guys we are discussing as finding a role getting good minutes somewhere.

Guessing they are just doing due diligence on players that could go undrafted.

Ben Sheppard (SG) from Liberty will be practicing with the pelicans. He definitely won’t be a UDFA

A lot of teams with picks in the teens wanting to see him.
