I killed him on Twitter and on the pod last night. Even said I don't want him after the Houston win, but whatever

And again I Have an opinion!! Sue me. I don't care if you want to follow. YOU GUYS are obsessed with wanting me to agree with you. Look at the title of this thread. Did I start it???

Why can't I just have my own opinion even if you disagree? I don't start threads with any of your names in it.

You are such a self important a-hole. I did some back reading of your crap. For every thing you get right, you get 10 wrong. Total tool.

And I don't even necessarily disagree that Cousins won't end well. But you're delivery is terrible. You suck at making people want to read your content.

I view it from the lens of if I were playing. I value defense. I think solid defense can turn into good offense. Cousins doesn't hustle enough or get back on D. I get incredibly annoyed when he does that and then hangs out by the perimeter. I understand spacing but cmon

I have zero desire for idiots to read my stuff. Would go way too far over your head

I will end it here. But again, look at the number of comments on this thread. Look at how I band you all against a common enemy.

I am the best thing that ever happened to this site and you guys can't even see it

Deuces, simpletons!!

You said last night you'd love a trade for Lin with Cousins in the lineup. I'm not saying you can't have an opinion and I don't give one single damn if you agree with me, but you continually reject anyone else's thoughts and have an if you don't agree with me then you're wrong mentality. I never said you were wrong, I never said you have to agree with me, I simply said you were overreacting to a small event. And though you claim it's not just a single event and is indeed much larger, you provide no proof and meander around being condescending to anyone who asks for said proof.

1. What happened between Boogie and Frazier last night?
I did see them seem to be upset with each other on the bench (AD kind of separated the issue). It did not seem to fester.

Proof

1. Cousins was benched in the 4th quarter last week against Jazz - ends in loss he's clearly dejected and pissed
2. Against Mavs, Cousins fouls out - team goes on run gets to OT and loses - DMC pissed that we have lost a few straight
3. Gets early tech vs Miami and again in foul trouble because of his hot headedness
4. Argument wth frazier on sideline
5. Not getting back on D multiple times which Gentry and Erman have multiple times been up in arms about
6. AD's backhanded comment in last nights interview
7. Not starting 2nd last night like he has done in the past

I'm not sure if it's just me but he does seem to be sitting for longer stretches when the second unit is on the floor anchored by AD - Gentry still prefers small ball

Correct. And he was pissed last night, and they WON. He doesn't care about WE. He is a ME first guy on the court. Off the court, great guy who does a lot for his community. But he has his way on the court and if you think that changes, you are betting on the long shot. Not the most likely outcome.
I have to admit, that was the concern when we traded for him. He was used to being the center of the Kings' universe. Coming here, he would have to play 2nd fiddle to AD. I was not sure if he could adjust or not. Hope he does.

This doesn't prove anything. Crewz said there were things happening behind the scenes, then proceeded in his rampage of condescension.

We need a staff that can utilize the players. The fast paced style that Gentry continues to try to run is not built for a 6'11" 275 pound center. He gets worn out and tired. That is why he is not back sometimes. If we wanted the fast paced style, Demps should not have been allowed to make a flash trade to try and save his job just to get a player that did not fit our style of play.

I think I found the smoking gun.

Solomon Hill on why he'd like the Pelicans to carry over the consistency they've built of late into next season:

"I would most definitely like to. Everybody's said that coach's offense is a players dream. Now he has the certain pieces to implement it. We've been dealing with injuries a lot this year. It's kind of the M.O. that's been around here. I think we have a really good framework to sustain this. We like playing uptempo, we like going out there and trying to put up 120, keeping teams in low scoring games as well. Everybody's firing on all cylinders. It's comfortable. Everybody knows what everybody wants to do out there on the court. We know each other. It's like building a family; you just can't add new cousins to the family reunion."

The asking price was so low you had to take a chance. The question is if it's not going to work will they see it and flip him in time to get comparable or possibly even better value in return.

I don't see this being feasible. This would leak so quickly. The value would TANK at that point asking "why are the Pelicans shopping him at this point 30 games after trading for him?" I think the Ingram talk is a pipe dream. I have a feeling if we trade Cousins we will get much less than Divac and end up looking like clowns.

The Kings got such a low return because they limited the number of bidders. There were reportedly quite a few teams that were interested that didn't even get a chance to make an offer. I don't think anyone would take a decision coming from our dumpster fire FO to move on as anything other than we're a dumpster fire. Cousins would be valued the same this summer as he was at the deadline. The main difference would be he's an expiring so it'd have to be a team that thought they could resign him.

Magic got his current job because the last guys didn't trade for Cousins. I don't know where that mandate came from, if it was just an excuse for a coup or there's real desire there, but the Lakers have become 2nd class citizens in LA. They don't want to wait around for the kids to grow up. And while trading Ingram for Cousins in a vacuum may seem like something you shouldn't do, the Lakers basically have a verbal commitment from Paul George, so having talent that fits with him is probably the way to go. If your goal is to steal the Los Angeles spotlight back, PG13 + Cousins isn't a bad start.

I think the only team you would trade Cousins to is LAL, but, i'm not a big fan of Ingram. I think people expected him to be the next Durant, and he's simply not anywhere near that conversation. I'd rather Hield than Ingram going forward. Ingram has more upside with talent, but i think he either isn't that good, or he simply doesn't care about putting in the work to be that good, evidence by his shitty free throw shooting in both college and his first year in the nba. And he's also just too damn skinny. Durant weighed 25 lbs more than him at the draft.
He may turn out to be a good player in 3 or 4 years, but i'd bet on him amounting to much of nothing.
2016 draft may go down as one of the worst ever. Their best player is going to be an 2nd round nba journeymen in Brogdon.

If the higher ups think Cousins just won't mesh with this team regardless of what moves they make, and they would rather get rid of him, so be it. I'd rather get a new coach than trade Cousins b/c the current loser coach wants to play small ball. Just b/c small ball gives us the best chance to win now, doesn't mean that's what's best for this team long term.
