Which has nothing to do with the previous statement you made.

It really doesn't surprise me that you missed the point.

You just named a bunch of average to below average players.

We had CP3/West/Okafor/Ariza taking up a bunch of cap space when Demps got here, so getting average/below average (but not bad) players on the cheap to fill out the roster is fine. What little money we had last offseason (after dumping Okafor for flexibility in 2013/14) he turned into Ryno/Lopez. This upcoming offseason will be the first where he'll have some legit cash to throw around.

I call it being lucky to be on one of the worst rosters in the NBA.

So you think that if Smith, Vasquez, Lopez went on to other teams they'd go back to their previous roles a step or 2 down the depth chart? Smith is clearly 3rd big caliber and Vasquez and Lopez have gone from definite bench players to fringe starters depending on whether they play on a good or bad team. Belinelli was 3rd string in Toronto when Demps traded for him and now he's a fringe starter also and has played 46% of the SG minutes for the Bulls this season.

I just don't see why you're being so dismissive of this. The Hornets have had holes in their roster for years and tried to fill it with guys like Posey and MoPete. No Demps hasn't uncovered a Tony Parker or Manu Ginobli late round gem yet, but those guys are pretty rare and may not exist anymore now that most teams are scouting internationally.

There is no point, you made a dumb statement and I called you out on it. The two thing aren't even related.

Then why rag on him for only finding "average/below average players" when you know he didn't have the money to go after better caliber guys? The two biggest money players that he's acquired (Ryno and Lopez) are both outperforming their deals.

I didn't rag on Demps, I was just commenting on TigerinAtl wording of Demps all around moves being excellent. Like I said to TigerinAtl, I shouldn't have even brought it up.

You're telling me Vasquez couldn't single-handedly keep the 7th leading scorer in the NBA from scoring?

Dude is a terd but he has a point here. (McNamara)

Vasquez and Lopez are reserves if we ever get to a level where we can challenge OKC. It's just simple fact. Not an insult. Fact.

Let me see if I can spell this out for Slowpoke.

ebouillon says we will miss out on a championship by not replacing Vasquez with Bledsoe. In a direct response in which I quoted him, I said that Bledsoe will not be a starting PG on a championship team.

Are you still following? Did you get that? Are we clear? Good, I'll continue.

You then decided to interject by stating:

quote:

I can say the same thing about Vazquez. You won't know until you see the other pieces around him.

Again, in DIRECT response to that statement (which, again, was clearly and completely quoted), I said, and I quote

quote:

Yeah, but I don't have to chop off my left nut to find out with Vasquez....

So, maybe you're still confused at this point. No surprise there. Souljah was baked out of his gourd and asked about how my nut was involved, so again, in direct response to his question, I said:

quote:

Because people are trying to trade Greivis Vasquez and our collective left nut for a backup combo guard with a bad ast/to rate.

If you still cannot understand, that's on you.

Lopez, absolutely. With the other 4 positions set, I really think Vasquez is sufficient. Now, if we find an efficient all-star PG available, go for it. There is nothing close to that available, though.

This is kind of dumb when you dig into it, though. You play the majority of your games in the NBA against middling teams, so you really do need to play well against them to distinguish yourselves from those middling teams who are your obvious competition for playoff births. Until we get to that level (competing for the playoffs), I think it's downright idiotic to imply that games against the Heat and Thunder are more meaningful. We know we're not a championship team right now. That said, Vasquez struggled last night, but who didn't?

Also, I'm going to take a blowout sans Davis AND Gordon with a teaspoon of salt at this point. We already knew our depth was shite.

You are a fricking idiot. No matter how you try to justify your original statement, it doesn't change the fact that you flat out said, "Bledsoe will never be the starting point guard on a division winning team". I know what you meant by the left nut comment, which I responded the two situations are not related. They would maybe be related if I was in this thread clamoring For us to trade for Bledsoe; but I'm not.

I did say that. I also said to write it down and save it, because I stand by it. Here I'll say it again:

Eric Bledsoe will never be the starting point guard on an NBA championship team.

quote:

I know what you meant by the left nut comment, which I responded the two situations are not related.

This is all true. However, they are related. Yes, you said it. Not, it was not true. darryljames30 is wrong.
