Exactly. On paper, four years ago, Monty and Thibs were ideal candidates to be your long term coach. We have to go down that same route, when that time comes, but knock it out of the park.

I think 42 put the right spin on it, something along those lines probably was said to start the season, but that doesn't mean it was a rigid criteria 6 months later. Saying "It's in your best interest to make the playoffs" in October says the same thing but is not necessarily a rigid mandate.

I think it's obvious they need some help on the bench. Malone would be great if he's willing to come back. I'm not hopeful though; he could have done that already. I wonder if he knew Monty was on thin ice in NO- why jump on board a potentially sinking ship?

I just wish they would have gone after someone before this season. Imagine if they had made a play for (maybe they did?) and gotten Ron Adams.
