Green is best suited to be a stretch 4 on a team with a legit center.

Pels should be looking to steal someone like Leonard or Butler, then have a guy like Danny Green as plan b. They desperately need one of these 3 and d wing guys.

Over the past couple of weeks, I've come to the same realization. As much as I love Draymond, I don't know if he is as effective going against SF's full time.

This team would be a major player in the west with Kahwi or Butler, but a lot would have to happen for them to leave their teams and for us to create the needed space.

My off season dream that's closest to reality is to go after Danny and Gerald Green. Sales pitch would be salaries, playing time and for the cousins to be reunited on one team.

I think a lot of posters are caught in the moment. Draymond is good, not great. He's having a great season, but he's the 3rd-4th option on offense and defense in GS. Love is in a poor situation, and I believe he's been exposed. He was severely overrated in Minnesota, but now he's severely underrated. Cleveland is desperate and we should take advantage

Warriors Bogut $12.9
Blazers Lopez $6.1 (should be $10-$12 on his new deal)
Grizzlies Gasol $15.8
Rockets Howard $21.4
Mavs Chandler $14.8
Clippers Jordan $11.4
Spurs Splitter $9.2
Pelicans Asik $8.3

And how many of those centers have played in a NBA finals in the last 15 years?

Let's name them:
Splitter vs birdman
Birdman/anthony vs splitter
Anthony vs Perkins
Chandler vs Anthony
Bynum vs Perkins
Bynum vs Howard
Perkins vs gasol
Elson vs Ilgauskas
Next 8 years are either Shaq or a no name spurs center vs a no name opponent center.

The only names on that list of the last 16 finals centers that made over 10 were shaq, bynum, gasol, howard, chandler, maybe ilgauskas and Ben wallace.

Are we trying to make the playoffs with AD or win a championship?

Love is a pain in the arse who can't take criticism and does not defend. Players hated playing on the same team with him....

I posted the same idea a week or two back (no Thompson, though), with us flipping Love for Derozan and expirings then dumping Reke for expirings + a decent bench player. Would give us a core of AD, Jrue, and Derozan with a shite ton of cap space.

So Cleveland would have turned two number one overall picks and two first rnd future picks into Ryno, Asik and Mozgov?

Yeah I don't think so

The Cavs be stupid to do that Trade.... we would win that trade easily. Even if Love doesnt stay because their is no shot in hell Asik will be staying here and Anderson has got to go.

His and his team's numbers are better when he's playing SF.

No one said he was great

Which is perfect. We do not need a stud or a ball dominant player at SF. He's comfortable playing a role.. can pass, can shoot the 3, can rebound, can defend two positions.

Draymond is in a really good situation, I just don't see him excelling when he's one of the top options.

My point was that he's not a good target for us since he's outplaying expectations and therefore demanding more $ than he's really worth. I'd much prefer buying low on a more dependable and proven guy since we're so damn fricked financially.

He'd be the 4th option here though. And he doesn't need the ball

I understand you want to save money, but we've been doing that at the 3 for long enough I think. We need a player there.

It's a buyers market if you're looking for SF in the offseason. Especially if some of these guys decline their player options

It's just hard to see them having the space to add a good target via FA. Maybe the stretch Gordon this summer. Maybe they decide to dump Anderson for expirings. The latter is certainly very risky.

But I don't see them being able to deal Evans or Gordon for anything of value (cap space or players).

Dumping Anderson for expiring right now would be ill advised. His value is at an all time low wouldn't you think?

Absolutely agree. I don't think moving him for expirings is worth it.

To me, doing that move seems like the only way to really be players in FA this summer. I don't think that should necessarily be the goal though. I don't know how realistic many of the top wing targets are, even with max cap space.

I kind of like the way the roster looks now. Would like to see them together for a while and would like to see a different style of play from the coaching staff.

Need to get with the nets, have Lopez and plumlee. Would take plumlee in a heartbeat. Young, splitting time and getting 13/10 a night. Asik and maybe third team type deal

Yea, I think pondexter is going to help this team but we need to get everyone healthy again now.

Anyone who thinks Asik is the biggest problem on this team, and doesn't understand his value to AD, doesn't know anything about basketball. Unless you can get a Marc Gasol, there is no reason to get rid ofAsik

We pay Asik $16M this year to not play more than 25 minutes per game. That is a lot of money for a guy that can't be out there in crunch time.

He was a joke last night against the weakest front court in the league.

Deandre Jordan is not better than Asik.

and I'm the one that obviously doesn't know anything about basketball??.

DJ gets more points at a 75% clip, more boards, 2 more blocks per game, a steal more per game, and most importantly....can play 35 minutes a night!,
