You're not going to convince me that Butler/Noah/Gasol/Gibson are tired b/c of their coach. They are in better shape than 99.9% of the people on this earth.

so... Why don't all these nba players play 42-45 minute per game? Hell, why not 48?

pau gasol 34.4 mpg under thib
joakim noah only 2 years above 33 mpg under thib (they were 36.8 and 35.4)
taj Gibson never cracked 29 mpg under thib
jimmy butler 38.7 mpg the past 2 years

i don't know where this 42-45 mpg garbage is coming from

Your garbage comprehension skills missed my point.

The poster was basically saying through multiple posts if you cant play 40+ minutes, too bad. So I'm asking him, if that's the case, why aren't all players playing 40+ minutes.

There's 20 guys averaging 38+ in the playoffs. 10 playing 40+. Only 2 bulls.

I like talking about relevant NBA basketball, the playoffs.

5 years ago, 12 guys averaged 38+ in the regular season.
10 years ago, 25 did
15 years ago, 30 did

This year, 1, Jimmy butler at 38.7l

McDermott has been garbage when he's played. You are delusional if you think he should be getting playoff minutes. Maybe he should have gotten more regular season run.

I haven't followed Thibs close, but I know his team always plays good D, are always solid even with injuries, and he seems to be good at developing talent. It made me wince watching him try to run the offense through Noah at the end of the last game, and I was pulling for the cavs. I mean Noah has been terrible this series, and 2 possessions in a row when they need points fast he draws up a play to inbound the ball to Noah...I think the hire would be a huge improvement, but not the home run hire some think he is.

Maybe he would run the offense through AD. AD could be a rich man's Noah.

If he could get AD to play Noah's defense...
