Pretty sure I am the only person on this board that even mentioned the word surgery.. and called his timeline for injury. Be respectful and I will post whatever I can when I can.

Section REMOVED for the HIPPAcrites..

As I stated, the injury has been a lingering issue. Not sure if the Spurs game closed the deal or not.. but it was coming at some point. Pelicans may not release this however.

Also, surgery was not the first option but without it, he would have had lingering issues on and off throughout the season. I expect him to be on a serious limitation in terms of minutes for 1-2 months after he returns. I think he returns close to full around Jan.

In terms of what the future holds. Meniscus injuries vary from person to person. In Zion’s case, he will recover about 90%. However, he is so athletic and quick, no one will notice any decline. What is a fact is that as he gets older, he will develop osteoarthritis in the affected knee to a moderate degree. But alllll NBA players have “arthritis” right? Well... they aren’t all almost 300lbs... Zion will be trimming down this off season. I expect it to be a priority before any other fundamentals. He was already made aware of this.

If you want the summary of this book-Zion will be ok. Be thankful is wasn’t his MCL or ACL.

Talk soon.

So a wasted rookie season?
And people complained that AD was hurt too often.

Didn't D wade have his removed when he was young or something? Led to him being jacked up during the big 3 era

Yes. Pretty sure he had his entire meniscus removed at Marquette. He blames his bad knees on this.

Lots of players have had this. Including the Pels starting PG.

Tigerwise said he had a torn mensicus and the timeline. Don’t pretend like you had the information.

genius insight here.

his weight+height combo is a significant outlier in this league, even the average joe already knew knee and ankle injuries are going to be a risk for him throughout his career.
