I cannot believe:
a) he is only 5 days over 21
b) he is a Pelican

Dude could legit lead the league in scoring, rebounding, and blocks one year.

Rebounding and blocks, yes. It's very feasible. Scoring? I mean it is possible, but I guess right now it is still projecting. His ceiling seems to be even higher than anyone ever thought. I'm not sure this kind of offense was predicted coming out of Kentucky. It's really fun to watch and is probably one of the main reasons I haven't offed myself as a Pelicans fan.

I was just making a reference to ice cubes classic. Of course 40/20 is better

Kevin Durant is only 25, so it might take a while for that to happen

He grew up as a guard before he hit his growth spurt, so it isn't too much of a surprise.

as to why I think he could do what K.Love is doing in regards to the assist #s and 3 pt shooting.

add those two to his arsenal, good luck. He could be producing 5x5s left and right.

Only difference is AD is elite around the rim. I don't know how much I would like for him to be hanging around the 3 point line.

He definitely could add it though.

Coming out of college, never thought Anthony Davis would be this good in the pros.

His shooting and dribbling skills weren't getting him many D1 looks.

His offense is a huge surprise. What he's doing now is well beyond what even the most optimistic projections thought he could be on offense.

I meant it as a situations where
"if im there, i can knock it down"

Not a 2-3 shots per game type deal lol. that'd just ruin him

I agree. I know i've seen over and over people talking about, "just wait until he starts shooting threes, too!"

Having the ability to knock down a three is fine. Davis is just a freak around the rim though. His touch is unreal. The absolute last thing I want is him falling in love with the 3 pointer, and turning into the last 10 years of Rasheed Wallace's career. That guy had an absolutely dominant post game early in his career, but that took work, and effort. Who wants that when I can just jack up 3s.

Davis has the potential to totally dominate games on both sides of the court from 20 feet and in. Thats where he needs to be. Turned out ok for Tim Duncan.

They were good enough to get him so offers. They may not have been good enough to make him a big time college player, but once you put those with his current frame you see what happens.

You would have never watched him shoot a jump shot in college and think well this guy won't ever be able to shoot.

He's not just hitting spot up jumpers. That's the point.

He was a phenomenal roll man last year, well above expectations in terms of finding space and reading the play. Now he's beating NBA players off the dribble, pulling up, posting up.

You knew all that would happen at age 21 after watching the few jumpers he took in college?

Or the countless highlight videos of him in high school when he was asked to do literally everything. The skill set was there, but not needed at Kentucky.

They guy drafted right behind him MKG has what I would call a broken jump shot. John Wall's jumper was worse than AD's in college.
