Agreed on Jimi for Voodoo Child. I'd say the best Little Wing, however, is Duane Allman & Eric Clapton on the Derek & the Dominos cut.

Idk. I'm leaning towards SRV for Voodoo Child. It may be that I've heard Jimi play it more than I have hear SRV but SRV played it great.

Holy mother of God. YouTube shall be searched.

Jimi wrote all of these riffs so he gets the nod. SRV had years to take Little Wing apart and put it back together as a masterpiece.

Voodoo Chile is better. IMO it is one of Jimis better vocals. Couple good blues growls that help the song. The solo is greatness.

I'll go against the grain here and go with Stevie.

I mean, Jesus Christ, listen to that version. I'm surprised his guitar didn't burst into flames.

That's what I am saying man. The thread asks who plays the song better, not who sings it better. You can interpret how you want. But I think SRV kills it.

Very close - I give a slight edge to SRV, but it is extremely close.

And I agree SRV owns Little Wing.
