What is the greatest live song you've seen in person?

For me, it has to be U2's, "Where the Streets Have No Name". I've seen U2 over 10 times and this song always delivers. They even use the same orange screen and turn on the house lights for every tour since the Joshua Tree. Was played at the Super Bowl and they killed it there too displaying the names of the 911 victims on the screen behind them. I've seen a ton of shows over the years but this song has been the best. What have you seen live that has blown you away or is always consistently good?

Built to Spill- Carry the Zero

I've seen BtS four times (fifth coming in June) and it is always their closer and they usually stretch it to about ten minutes. It always delivers.

Tool - Pushit

There are so many to list, but seeing them play this live many years ago has to be my highlight. Danny crushing the drums was incredible.

thanks for posting, just looked and they'll be here in Atl in June.

You are one of the ones that really got me into BTS recently so I'm definitely going to try to be there!

Rooster at the AIC acoustic show was incredible. That entire show was just amazing but Rooster was probably the best moment.

Hooters "And We Danced"

I hate to admit it because I can't stand the guy, but Cadillac Ranch was stinkin' incredible.

Others I thought were great:

"Take It Easy on Me"-LRB
"Take it Easy"-Iggles
"Hotel California"-Iggles
"Drivin' Wheel"-Foghat
"Lady"-Styx

This one's not even close for me. Well, maybe it is. Comfortably Numb on the Division Bell your was pretty bad arse. But this is the only one that moved me to tears and the whole time I was watching it, I didn't want the song to end.

Jealous. Never saw AIC live but would have loved to have heard Rooster live.

Last time I saw them they closed with a ripping 10+ minute cover of Neil Young's Cowgirl In the Sand. This after they ripped a cover of The Smith's How Soon Is Now? So bad arse.

Saw Pink Floyd on the Divison Bell tour and you are correct. Comfortably Numb was pretty bad arse.

You won't regret it. My wife, who was just a moderate fan before seeing them live, swears it was one of best shows she has ever seen

They did How Soon Is Now? and Don't Fear the Reaper last time I saw them. Both were great. I should have clarified earlier that Carry the Zero has always been the closer before the encore when I have seen them.

Sigur Ros is phenomenal. I saw them at the Red Rocks a few years back, and it was an incredible show

One of the best concerts I ever saw. Tons of energy. Didn't hurt that it was in a venue that holds about 750 people.

The Hooters were very underated. Seeing them in a venue that small would have been great.

I've seen them twice now, and both times it took me a few days to get my jaw off the floor. How they're able to combine rock elements and classical music elements is just incredible.

They're touring the US this fall, but no dates very close to me and most of them sold out pretty quick. They're playing smaller theaters, which would be interesting to see. May bite the bullet and buy some on the secondary market and cash in some CC points for a flight. Wife hates them so it would probably be a solo trip.

Def Leppard - "Photograph" - on 3 occasions. It helps that it's my favorite song, but they deliver it well live. Always a crowd favorite.

I was surprised at how good Def Leppard was live. Got free tickets from my brother who works for a radio station. They did "Photograph" very well.
