The last Band of Horses album was a pretty big disappointment for me. They'd done no wrong up until that point, but Mirage Rock freaking blows.

Not saying that's the most disappointing of my life time, but that's the freshest one I remember.

Not a huge fan of Reflektor, either.

really? I liked that one a lot

Same here.

ETA: I'd have to go with PJ - No Code, or Metallica - Load

Reflektor was pretty meh. They tried really hard to put some electric beats in the songs and it sounded bad

Suburbs was the biggest letdown album though. That was dissapointing.

See... I liked Suburbs pretty well. Maybe it's because I'm older with kids and a lot of the album resonated with me.

Would explain why they are so highly regarded by professional musicians....

i'm late, but i'm sure everyone's already said 10,000 days by tool

most of the music sounded like throw-away or rehearsal riffs from lateralus, and the lyrics were retarded. YA MUSTA BEEN...HIGH...YA MUSTA BEEN...HIIIIGH. they went from teaching calculus and fibonacci sequences to making the audience do it's own long division by giving us pieces of two songs we were supposed to overdub ourselves.

Agree. I liked Vicarious. Maynard is a douche and he didn't even try with the lyrics on that album. Rosetta Stoned's lyrics were funny, but the way he delivers them are irritating. I would happily buy an instrumental Tool album.

Outside of Tool - TV on the Radio's "9 Types of Light" was a turd.

For me it's St. Anger from Metallica in 2003. WTF was that?

The newest Grizzly Bear album is another one that comes to mind for this thread

The most I've ever really enjoyed Grizzly Bear was on the Dead Prez/Grizzly Bear mashup by Hood Internet. That's a sick track:
