Sure but "has some pretty good songs" is a huge letdown after In Rainbows. It was inevitable though.

Was going to post this, but it's not terrible, it's just really average

Kind of a letdown to what my expectations were about it

The hype it received definitely created a lot of it. I was expecting some spectacular journey, instead I got a half-assed Jamiroquai album with cheesy robot vocals.

I hated this one.

Easily their weakest effort.

Not a letdown. I had low expectations. 3.0 is a trainwreck.

Mine was King of Limbs.

I was pumped, but I loved In Rainbows so much it was almost impossible for them to not have a set back in my mind.

Although, I'm starting to warm up to Limbs.

String Cheese managed to put out a good studio album

I figured a "tier one jam band" would be able to do the same. Then again, its not the first time theyve embarrassed phish this year

It's got to be Fairweather Johnson. Hootie had just done Cracked Rear View which was just chock full o hits. Everyone was really excited for this one and it sucked.

Basically, dredg was a band known for meticulous attention to detail in the studio. After being burnt out by the previous masterpiece they had recorded, they wanted to experiment with just churning out an album. The result was uninspiring. Dan the Automator just didn't mesh at all with their sound. It all sounded very demo-y.

Dredg is hot topic/trailer park music

really? I liked that one a lot

Compared to the rest of their catalog it was a steaming pile of garbage. I probably had too high of hopes. FWIW I liked and still like Spitting Venom.
