I agree. Turnpike play all the time. You have no clue as to when Sturgill might decide to just hang it up.

Sturgill is playing two shows in Atlanta...so no choice involved, unless economics or other commitments come into play.

I saw them at HOB the other night and I'm pretty sure it was a good show but I'm fuzzy on the details. They may in fact have played this song.

They did. along with a few other new songs from the upcoming album. It was a great show, and Adam Hood was solid too.

Cant wait to hear the rest of the album. I've liked everything I've heard so far

Evangaline and Diamonds and Gasoline are my personal favorites. Hell that entire album is gold. One of the only CDs I still keep in the truck.

Saw them sing that song last week in Houston and it was a solid live performance. Best song on the cd by far (FYI they gave out free cds to all who attended last week)

Early impressions:

The three singles are probably the best tracks on the album. Those three are a solid A, rest of the album is a B for me.

The redos are solid but already part of the catalogue (Easton and Main, Bossier City). Time of Day and Long Drive Home are good tracks, if a little dull by TT standards.

In sum, I like it. Any album that adds 3-5 very good staples to an already really strong standard setlist is worthwhile. It's not D&G, but probably on par with GNS (minus Good Lord Lorrie, which is arguably the best song TT has released).

First four are great. Also really like 7 oaks and the remakes. The slow songs are very meh.
