Social Distortion - Birmingham circa 2005
Morrissey - Alabama Theater
REM - Dublin 2003
The Alabama Shakes/Dawes - Sloss Furnace
Mumford and Sons - BJCC

Honorable Mention:
My Morning Jacket/Neko Case - Tuscaloosa Amphitheater
St. Paul and The Broken Bones
Avett Brothers
Sturgill Simpson
Old Crow Medicine Show/The Lumineers/Milk Carton Kids
Pearl Jam
Hank Williams, Jr
Goggle-A
Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson

Note: they are ranked based on the concert experience, which is different than how I would rank the artists. Social Distortion played at some abandoned warehouse and it was unbelievable from start to finish.
Morrissey really impressed me.

Just to add: yesterday I saw Trans Siberian Orchestra in concert...holy frick, talk about sensory overload. Mind blown. I might need to settle down before giving it a proper ranking, but it's definitely on the short list of awesomeness. Dollar for dollar, they definitely give you bang for the buck like few other acts...

Almost impossible, let's see what I can remember

Yes - In The Round, 1979 BR Centroplex

Frank Zappa, 1977 LSU Assembly Center

Rainbow, 1978 BR Centroplex (Laughable that they were warmup for REO, band included Blackmore, Dio and Cozy Powell)

Ozzy & Alice in Chains, 1992 UNO Lakefront (Zakk Wylde on lead for Ozzy, Layne Staley on vocals for AIC).

Either Led Zeppelin Presence Tour 1977 or Pink Floyd Animals Tour 1977, both at LSU Assembly Center.

Saw way to many other great shows (was lucky to be in that era). UFO at the Warehouse with Michael Schenker, Alice Cooper, Rush, Metallica, Kiss, Genesis, Who, Bowie
..........

My most memorable concerts and/ or the best shows:

The Call opening for Psychadelic Furs- Saengar Pensacola, FL -late 80's

The Mekons- Tip's- late 80's

Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown- The Vincent Van Go Go- Mobile, AL- the night before my wedding

Stevie Ray Vaughn- last Jazz Fest performance

Clarence Carter- because of the venue and a great showman- was in a high school gymnasium that was converted into a bar/ music venue in the middle of nowhere in hog country in North Carolina. After the show, they served breakfast in the adjacent cafeteria. Really bizarre scene.

Also saw some great punk back in the day...DK's, Minor Threat, Black Flag

Truth. Almost every one of the concerts listed in this thread were before I was born.

1. BB King at Club Ebony in Indianola, MS. Saw him several times there, the best being once when I was right in front of the man as he played on a stage that was maybe three feet off the floor. As he finished The Thrill is Gone he reached out and gave me his pick and walked off the stage.
2. Johnny Cash at HOB New Orleans. Got to be at the front of the stage. Shook his hand and he signed my Life magazine I brought from 1969 with him on cover that was printed about a week after I was born.
3. Clapton at HOB New Orleans. Very small number of tickets sold. Had small tables setup to sit at.
4. U2 Joshua Tree tour - Houston Summit
5. Roger Waters - The Wall

I've been to just about everyone who's ever been on my bucket list at this point, and there were amazing performances throughout. However, most that stick in my memory are the small venues, and particularly the solo acoustic concerts. I only put one "huge" artist on my list.

In no particular order:

--Bruce Springsteen, 1984 at the PMAC...er, excuse me...the LSU Assembly Center. Set List. The 2006 post-Katrina Jazz Fest appearance passed this for sheer emotion but the first time seeing him was hard to beat.

--Dr. John and Allen Toussaint doing a tribute to Professor Longhair at N.O. Jazz Fest (early 90's?). 2 grand pianos on a stage set up in a stable before the original grandstand burned down. I sat on a dividing wall in the stable and Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford stood directly below me. Video featuring all three musicians.

--Dan Fogelberg Solo Acoustic at LSU 1982. Video from that tour.

--The Cold on the Riverboat President any Saturday night in the 1980's. Video (although it's from Jimmy's)

--Stanley Jordan in a solo acoustic set at Tipitina's mid 1990's. Video from the same era
