I love Stone Roses debut, but they only released one album and it was at the tail end of the decade. Hard for me to put them on the list when they were unheard of for pretty much for 90% of the decade.

I'm a little surprised by only two Pixies responses so far.

This plus they are overrated. Elephant Stone is a great song. The rest? Meh.

XTC released Black Sea, English Settlement, Skylarking and the Dukes of Stratosphear stuff in the 80s. Damn strong decade if you ask me.
