I had to play Best Friend's Girl at a gig and learn that solo note for note. It's damned difficult. Dude is very underated.

They were a talented, groundbreaking new wave group. Helped define the sound of the 80's.

Hearing The Cars in the late 70's after years of disco was a revelation.

Sun dress, Ruby ring...
The first two Cars albums were the gold standard for that 1980 new wave. Every song on those two albums was good. The Cars man. Good times.

Eliot Easton is in a new band I recently saw, the Empty Hearts. With the drummer from Blondie, the guitarist/vocalist from te Romantics and the bass player from the Chesterfield Kings.
Solid show and they played some Cars stuff to boot
