Just dropped a collaboration album. Pretty damn fun and easily the best music either have put out since oasis and the stone roses. Good to see Liam’s got his pipes back in his 50s after getting his Hashimoto’s under control and Squire sounds as tight as ever.
Highly recommend.
Mars to Liverpool
Just another rainbow.

Squire has always been high on my underappreciated guitarist list

Sounds really good.
I don’t know if Liam is more of a douche or a twat, but hell I like him either way.

I do too. He’s actually pretty funny and likable as he’s aged. Dude is just a true working class guy from a poor family that managed to hit it big.

I really liked one of his solo albums, but his singing...
I always thought he should have just used his solo album material and let Ian sing them.

Ohh! Will have to check that out. Thanks

Wow! I had no idea this was in the works. This album is great! The combo of Liam's vocal stylings and John's guitar work go really well together.

so Noel is the one that's an a-hole?
I always forget which one is the bigger prick.

I think Liam is from the interviews I've seen of him. (and could understand) Noel seems to be content to just talk guitars.

Yeah I've always wondered who the problem was between Liam and Noel.
Either way, when Oasis reunites and goes on tour, I'm there.

They're both stubborn arse working class dudes who basically became the biggest band in the world for awhile. Liam lived the "Rock N Roll Star" persona. It made him a great frontman but also increasingly unreliable. His style of singing where he'd just stick his head out and sing with pure power (he was never trained) also wore on his voice after those first few albums causing more cancelations.
Noel was the brains behind the band, but he was also stubborn as hell. He also absolutely knew that he needed Liam though for most of their songs to give them their sound. My buddy who grew up in that time period in England basically says Liam is the more down to earth everyman and is actually "cooler" to people but a loose cannon, while Noel is a more standoffish kinda guy but put up with a lot of Liam's shite for a long time.
The reunion is going to happen soon as they're going to absolutely cash in. Liam has really started to get his voice back as Hashimoto's can greatly impact your vocal cords given their proximity to the thyroid. They're both talking about it amongst the jabs they still throw each others way. Liam's party even reached out to Noel this year to do a 30th Definitely Maybe tour.
Liam and Noel's wife did not get along well at all and was a big source of the discord but Noel divorced her last year.
I was never really into them in high school/college (was more into punk and metal) as the only things that trickled over here were the popular wonder wall/champagne super nova hits, but got into them more during the pandemic...those first few albums are amazing from start to finish. Even the later ones have some absolute great rock songs on them. Noel was a hell of a song writer and was on quite a tear for awhile.
If anyone hasn't listened to The Masterplan (all B sides) do yourself a favor. It's fantastic.

I’ve mostly read/heard both.
Liam more in your face and extroverted about it and Noel more quiet but equally a-hole, like passive aggressive and stubborn.
