Trailer
Posted over on the movie board because it's an HBO doc but this place needs this here also. This is going to be amazing.

Looks intense. I will definitely check this out.
The recent Pearl Jam documentary "Twenty" that Cameron Crowe did was very good as well.
Early 90's Pacific Northwest was a weird weird place, to say the least. Lot's of angry kids who left their mark.

I had always liked pearl jams original sound but it wasn't until I watched the documentary that I really appreciated their music and their story as a whole.
Can't wait for this one to come out. Will really open a lot of eyes to who Kurt really was.

This is kind of raw, but interesting.

Not a Cobain/Nirvana fan at all but I'll definitely watch this.

A good shot? I always thought they were overrated. Music is ok but vocally meh. I'll watch it cuz I like music docs. I didn't like them when Nevermind hit big when I worked in radio and they haven't grown on me.

I think it puts in into perspective. Green Day and Malfunkshun were the genesis of the Seattle Sound going mainstream.

This just makes me feel bad for you.

I like your style
Kurt Corbain is truly the most overrated artist of our time. He's not that good

Same. Never really was a fan but think people piss on them because it's the popular thing to do. I always found them kind of meh, but did like a couple of their songs.

Taken as a whole though, the band played loud, angry, apparently mindless music--yet it wasn't punk or metal or Zeppelin or art rock or … it had the hallmark foundation of aggressive, off-putting, alienating music but it didn't sound like the other stuff. I think this is what made Nirvana so big, and so interesting to many people.

He had one of my favorite screams ever.
People like to rag on Kurt's musicianship, which I guess is fair, but he wrote a lot of good and interesting songs that resonated with a lot of people. Attitude, creativity, passion--these things can be way more important than whether or not you can rip a solo.

I think they're better musically than his vocals. I don't think they are the worst band ever but not as great as some may make them out to be. I also think death makes them better in some people's eyes.
