Any of you guys been to a show yet? I am thinking about buying tickets to a show in May. Although Pet Sounds is one of my most favorite albums of all time I am a little cautious because I have been slightly disappointed in the past seeing "older" artists. Would you guys shell out $60-$80? And if you have seen the show please share your experience

I almost bought tickets for this but watched a few videos on youtube of the tour. It didn't seem like a good time to me...but see for yourself.

I can't speak to this tour itself but I saw the Beach Boys in '13 at Bonnaroo and loved it. Wilson's voice holds up IMO.

Saw him this summer... it's fun, but it looks like someone propped him up on stage... go for it!

I would imagine the energy level would be pretty low but I guess I could deal with it if the sound is still good.

Actually, Rubber Soul inspired Pet Sounds, and Pet Sounds inspired the Sgt. Pepper album

Went to the Pet Sounds Show in Shreveport last summer and it was awesome. The band does a great job of replicating the songs. Wilson is still OK, but not great. But he really doesn't sing a lot of the parts anymore. He sings the lower parts, but leaves the high parts to other people. Al Jardine still sounds awesome. I would go.

I've been impressed with the older artists I've seen but Brian Wilson doesn't seem like he would be that great live. Not for the price at least.

I am going. His set list is pretty freaking awesome. He does 32 songs. In the middle he does the whole PS album.

I get why other people arent all that excited to see it, but its fricking Brian Wilson playing Pet Sounds!

My Old Man is out on this tour. He said that it's a very good show from a musical standpoint.

By far the best live band I ever heard. Phenominal job replicating the sounds from PS. I didnt think it was possible.

True.

Do they have a "God Only Knows" Ticket? About $20-25 and they roll you in and out just for that song?

I'd pay.

ETA for the downvoter.

Not trying to say Pet Sounds is not awesome, just that that song is my fave from the album.

Saw the show in Shreveport. Wilson does his best Weekend at Bernie's impression.

of course you can´t, no one can. You can speak of it, however.
