Would You Recommend Stranger Things For a Non Horror Fan?

I don't care for the horror genre at all… 80s slasher films, chainsaw massacre, saw… non of it. But I am an 80s kid and love The Goonies, E.T., etc plus I like Lost and mystery/thrillers.
I heard Stranger Things is incredibly nostalgic and enjoyable, but is it enjoyable for a non Horror fan?

It's not even really "horror". It has suspense but not much Horror IMO

Yes don't like horror but show was very good takes at least 2 episodes to get into

Absolutely. It's not a horror at all. If you can get through ET, you can get through Stranger Things.

It's really not horror, more of fantasy/adventure with some suspense/mystery of sci fi mixed in. If you like all those shows & the 80s, you'll love it. It does a great job capturing that time period. Like others said, think of a mix of Goonies, E.T., and maybe some X-Files.

Very little horror. It's got some "scary" parts but it's more ET than anything. I only covered my eyes during the teen love scene. Skeezed me right the hell out.
