That's why I said I should probably download The Wire. The whole series would be a couple of gigs while a few shows steamed on Amazon would be the same thing.

I don't know if Comcast's OnDemand is Internet or not. I assume it is

When would this start? I have nothing but out of town work and family stuff the next few weeks.

I occasionally checked out that Fringe thread, didn't participate but thought it was a cool idea. Battlestar Galactica would be cool because I have seen a good bit of the later seasons but not in order. Another show along those lines that I have been waiting to rewatch is Stargate and Stargate Atlantis. Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks made the original series fun to watch.

I've been rewatching sg1. I'm currently on season 6. It is probably a bit much for something like this with I think like 28 or 26 episodes a season and I think 9 seasons it's too much of a commitment.

So you have a head start! You are right though. The length of the original series could be a problem. I think it is 20 episodes per season and 10 seasons in total; plus 2 straight to DVD movies. Perhaps Atlantis would be the better choice for something like this at only 5 seasons.

Doesn't really matter...any time. I figured if there was enough interest and we could agree on a show, I'd get it started in the next few weeks or so.

Not sure about the rest of you with "friends" or "families" but some people will have some time off over TG and Christmas with some down time, so that seems as good a time as any, IMO.

How about a viewing of a film series, like Harry Potter?

I always thought it'd be fun to do some genre week(s) too. Set a one to two week period to discuss and give 2-3 movies of a genre to watch.

Beverly Hills 90210 because I just watched the pilot again and it was so unbelievably bad yet hilariously good.

You'd be better off just picking a popular show and doing it. And 3 episodes a week? Some of us got shite to do

Well, let's do it. Harry Potter, Jaws, Star Trek, Terminator, heck, Star Wars would be topical right now.

I get that, and we can do however many y'all want. But three episodes is only just about two hours a week (three 41-ish minute episodes).

It's not really that much time, and you have seven days to do it.

But again, we can do less (or more) if y'all want to.

3 is perfect IMO. I'd say start a vote thread on Monday to see what we could watch. Use the rest of this weekend to get nominations that way the Monday thread is vote only. The random suggestions can be given out this weekend. It MIGHT alleviate some silliness for the voting.

I like the idea, not sure I could do 3 eps a week though, maybe 2.

Would be nice if it is something on Netflix.

I love X-Files, but I think the show is too much. 9 seasons of over 20 episodes each. Even lost w/ 6 seasons of over 20 would be a bit much. I have heard Californication is good but never watched it.

If it is something more episodic/self contained people could watch some and not all and still participate.
