Let me say this - if you wanted to take a show like Seinfeld - and had a "Top 20" or "Top 30" episode discussion, laid out the schedule and watch order in advance - I think that might be doable. Seinfeld is on Hulu now, so it is fairly widely available.
This would be a good format for classic shows, sitcoms, or Star Trek TNG. I'd do a rewatch of the Top 50 or TNG episdoes.

I would like to do an Ed rewatch if that was at all possible.
SO mad this is nowhere to be found. Hulu, Netflix, Blu Ray. Nothing.

And I disagree with you on the "inexplicably cancelled shows" - the most notable of which, for me, are Firefly and Freaks and Geeks - it would not be a thread that carried on for months and months - which would be its charm. Firely - 2 episodes per week - 2 months you would be done. Ditto for F&G.
Could be. I guess I just pictured it being a bigger commitment than those. But those two shows are awesome.

I've never seen firefly either but have always wanted to.
Outside of this, you should just watch it. It's awesome, especially if you're at all into sci-fi.

Also for convenience's sake, I suggest we pick a show that's on netflix.
Eh, Netflix or HBOgo IMO. Limiting it to just NF is taking out some of the best shows of all time.

i've never seen Battlestar Gallatica. We Would have to buy season Blue rays/dvd's i dont think its on netflix or amazon prime
I don't know why but I thought it was on there..?? I swear I've added it to my queue in the past.
But either way, if it's not on there then we'll have to skip BSG for now. People won't be interested in buying the DVDs (like I would do anyway, ).

Or we could also start small, like someone mentioned...just start with a show like F&G or Firefly. Would take less than two months.
If that goes well, we could move onto something like The Wire.
Although I'm all in for something like The Wire now. I spent the better part of a year on the Fringe thread, and that's not even one of my favorite shows.

Yeah it got booted. BUT Amazon has put the full set on sale like Twice. And it will probably be around$90 during Christmas again.
I got it this most recent time, 3 or 4 weeks ago.

If no BSG, I vote The Wire or Top of a Star Trek run, probably TNG.

A lower commitment like one of those shows that only lasted a season would probably get better participation. It might be the best place to start. Ease people into the idea.

I wouldn't mind a star trek tng watch. I've never seen it really other than a few minutes here and there. It's probably something that I would get into.

I vote Freaks and Geeks for an initial rewatch.

I like the 3-episode-per-week format with Monday being the kickoff for the week.
I'm assuming whomever hasn't watched the chosen series would have to adhere to the shut-the-frick-up-or-get-the-frick-out rule. Obviously, re-watch implies that said viewer has seen the series at least once already but you know there will be some a-hole in here who hasn't seen it and eventually loses his/her shite when someone says "I can't believe I didn't see Hank's death coming" or "It's amazing that Gilligan and Co. never get off this island".

Is that show available on NF?

Definitely a good choice, especially if we go the "start small" route.
