Jake Gyllenhaal in Zodiac. That could have been a great movie had that annoying POS not been in it.

she just had absolutely no role in the story.
She was like a piece of furniture or a prop.

A love interest was absolutely unnecessary in the film and took away from the plot
That's Hollywood. Every movie needs to have romance so people will go to them on a date. It's like they think women won't be interested if there's no love story. It's sad that the whole industry thinks women won't go to a movie that isn't about romantic relationships.

Tom cruise in the Jack Reacher movie coming out.... Dude is like 6'5" in the books and people always start fights with him because of his size...... How can they change that much of a character and expect fans of the series to buy tickets???
I'm a big fan of he reacher novels. I was upset at this at first, however I could see Cruise pulling it off.

Brosnan was a very generic James Bond.
I really like him in lighter and/or less conventional roles like The Matador, The Tailor of Panama, After the Sunset and even goofy ones like Laws of Attraction and The Thomas Crowne Affair.
He actually has a little range.

Maggie G in The Dark Knight is by far the correct answer.

Joaquin Phoenix in Walk the Line. Could've found a better fit for Johnny Cash than that over-rated, hair-lipped bastard.

Kevin Pollak in The Usual Suspects

Yea, if he's goning to be selected to play a "Man IN Black", he'd definitely make a better Roy Orbison.

i'm sure he can , but Reacher just has this personality built on being the big tough looking guy who never initiates violence.... how can a 5'7" guy do that???

Joaquin did amazing as Johnny Cash you have obviously have an obscured version of Cash in your head because he was spot on.
I nominate Shia Labeouf in Indiana Jones
If Shia is Marion Ravenwoods and Indiana Jones' son I am God's son

jackie Earl Haley as Freddy Krueger.
Ruined that movie.
Also: Travolta in Battlefield Earth. I know the whole movie was shite, but he made it a lot worse than it had any right to be.

Tom Cruise as Lestat and Brad Pitt as Louie in Interview With the Vampire. They should have been flipped.
