im more interested in why they are basically shunning mc ren in the previews. i get why dj yella and arabian prince arent really in the previews, but the total lack of mc ren is confusing

MC Ren joined the band later. So technically he didn't start it. The rest did though.

he was with eazy though before he joined the group. he may not have been there when the group was initially being made but he came in like just after

I'm a little nervous how it is going to whitewash Easy-E as he's been dead for so long, and it's not a good look for the living member to point out what a piece of garbage he was... besides, Dre won. No need to do an end zone dance. But the most interesting thing about NWA is their breakup, which was one of the ugliest in pop music history. And I don't see them really getting into how much they disliked one another at the end.
I think Cube is more willing to share credit these days, seeing as Easy-E is dead. doesn't mean he wasn't right, Cube wrote his rhymes.

Who is going to see "Straight Outta Compton"? by Crusty
I probably will...there's a group of a few of my friends that want to see it as well. It looks solid IMO.

I really hope that a full six+ minutes of this movie is them sitting around a piano and Easy rapping Boyz N the Hood.

I do all of the time, but that's mainly because I participate in an urban hide and go seek league

To me, their audience is a bunch of 40+ year old white guys and not the teenagers who make up a large percentage of the movie dollars.

Haven't read the thread yet, but I'm going to see it. The trailer looks quality and a ton of talent came out of NWA.

I'm a white male in my mid 20s and I'll be going. Listened to a lot of them growing up since today's rap blows. Plus it got great reviews
