BvS also has a 3.7 score, so not sure that these RT scores really mean much

For movies like this, it means a lot. Comic movies aren't made for critics. They are made for fans. Movies like The Revenant and 12 Years a Slave are made for critics.

But in general, yeah Rotten Tomatoes scores mean jackshit. I mean shite the critics loved Kingdom of a Crystal Skull. They loved Trainwreck. Two horrible movies and yet people still believe that critics matter

While it was never going to be a great movie, the biggest drawback was that it was an Indiana Jones movie and had the expectations that that brings. Had it been just another movie, it wouldn't have been roasted nearly as bad.

Looks like we are still waiting on that first fresh one from DC. Wonder Woman, you're up to try next.

May be a while. Thor 3 may be the next best chance and that movie looks great so far. The real biggest that could flub first is Ant-Man and Wasp, assuming Avengers 3 doesn't just fail to come together properly.

I feel like this will be everyone's consensus on the first rotten Marvel movie given the first 2 have just been "okay". But so far, everything Ive seen from it looks awesome.

BTW... Chris Hemsworth made a short little video on instagram today regarding Avengers 3... I advise everyone to check it out

When you hear that Marvel is going to try something completely different and new, there's your chance for a rotten movie. For now, they're sticking to the formula and they'll stay in the 70% and up range. Dark World was their closest thing to a misstep. I think they've learned their lesson from that one.

Not by fans.

But if that was a stand alone movie instead of an Indiana Jones movie made by Spielberg and Lucas, I think critics would have panned it.
