It ran for two seasons, and it really wasn't a very good show. Especially on the heels of The West Wing, which will likely never be surpassed as a political drama.
I have to agree with Firefly and Studio 60, though Studio 60 seemed to fizzle out after the first few episodes and it lost fairly to 30 Rock for the network's sketch show within a show offering.

Playmakers. frick ESPN for not having the spine to stand up to the NFL. This show was awesome.

Love the black donnellys love. My family watched it every week of it's run together. We were pissed when it stopped airing.
Also, Firefly

Great call. That show was excellent at the end of the season. Very disappointed it was axed.

I LOVED THAT SHOW.
But it was so obvious it would get canned. Hbo or someone needed to do that one. That type of show doesnt survive on the big three lineup

Wonderfalls
Starred Caroline Dhavernas
Only ran 4 episodes on the FOX network but they released the whole 13 episodes on DVD later on.
Terriers was also a major disappoint for me, very good show.

This one went two seasons as well. Still, entertaining show. Chi McBride seems to be a curse for new shows now.
To echo the sentiments of others in this thread:
Firefly
Freaks and Geeks
Terriers
Undeclared
Really hard to decide between Firefly and Freaks and Geeks which I was more upset with. Of course, I didn't watch Firefly in the original run so I was part of the problem on that one.I did watch F&G originally (as best you could with the constant scheduling shifting), and it's really amazing how much talent was in that cast and behind the scenes.
