But you left off Lebowski?

To me, this is a wrong answer.

2. No Country for Old Men
3. Fargo
4. Raising Arizona
5. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou

The Big Lebowski is easily in my top 5 all time movies. It's great on several levels.

I probably wouldn't put Lebowski in their top 10 films either. Their resume is that strong, and I think TBL is a bit overrated. It's not as funny as Raising Arizona, and it came on the heels of Fargo, my favorite film of theirs. Hell, I didn't put No Country in my top 5, and that won the Oscar. Or Barton Fink, which won Cannes. And rightfully so, in both cases.

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

But I prefer Hudsucker Proxy and O Brother. Especially Hudsucker, which has the added advantage of Bruce Campbell in a small role. I know I'm alone on this, but I love Hudsucker Proxy.

You're not alone. The Hudsucker Proxy was good.

Maybe we won't fight

This is too hard for me. Raising AZ has a special place in my heart.

What strikes me about Coen bros. movies is how dead on they are with casting, accents, and the like. From the governor and son in O Brother to the lady working the trailer park in No Country. Stereotypical yes, but so right for the part.
