re: Mississippi school district fined $7500 for opening assembly with prayer - ChargerDog91
I hate taxpayer funded education.
Oh I agree. Federal inclusion in education is absolutely ludicrous. They've done nothing but hurt education the more they delved their hands into it. I'm all for privatizing education. ...

 Please please bring yourself to the Mississippi Delta and see if teachers deserve a 35k a year job. Ignorance abides in people who don't understand it though.
Setting a 75k minimum would just be a further fleecing of the taxpayers. It wouldn't change anything for the better. ...

re: Mississippi school district fined $7500 for opening assembly with prayer - ChargerDog91
You don't see a lot of good teachers anymore because it's shite pay for a huge babysitting job in a lot of public schools. Not to mention it's fairly easy to acquire a teaching license in most states. Didn't work out as a something, let me go teach so-and-so subject instead. By and large, the...
attitude's can and do change without corporal punishment, fwiw
As a teacher this is complete bs. Yes you can find a few children that will listen to verbal punishment and other forms of non-corporal punishment. That rhetoric doesn't work in impoverished area public schools. ...

re: Mississippi school district fined $7500 for opening assembly with prayer - ChargerDog91
The biggest issue in impoverished homes is that these kids begin kindergarten without ever having read a single word. In Mississippi there is a 3rd grade reading gate. The school I teach at set a goal of hopefully having 30% of students pass it. 30%!! When parents and adults don't do their job of ...

re: Mississippi school district fined $7500 for opening assembly with prayer - ChargerDog91
It beyond irks me that people like to spout off about shite they don't know. I'm sure onmymedicalgrind has never set foot in the Mississippi Delta. As a teacher I feel sorry for the kids, cause their parents/adults have severely let them down in the past and that's why the delta is where it is. You...
The reality is, a school district that is heavily black adjust standards. It has to. You know this. You're a smart guy. You also are smart enough to know that regardless of race, lowing standards tends to lower results.
I teach in the Delta in Mississippi. In a 99% black scho...

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
Where did I say he wasn't having a historical finals? I simply stated he left a lot of points on the floor. Just because I critiqued Lebron doesn't mean it's a knock on him. ...

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
What do you want the guy to do?
Make his layups and free throws. Shite I'm not saying there's a problem with the volume of shots. I'm saying the problem was the volume of shots he missed which was almost 150 in a 6 game series. That's almost 25 missed shots a game. Which basica...

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
Again deflection away from the real problem. Ignoring the fact that Lebron was terribly inefficient the whole series despite putting up gaudy numbers. If Lebron shoots just a whole 7 to 8 percentage points better he wins this series. The Cavs had enough talent to win, their big gun just didn't do wh...

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
Not saying he should have given them up. Simply make the layups. He missed a lot of one-on-one layups that he shouldn't have. He took a lot of bad 3's. Lebron should have sat on Iggy's knee the whole series and backed him down. He was scoring at will when he did that....

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
If he was double teamed every play like you said then someone would be wide open. Come on now. Half the time it was one-on-one to the basket for Lebron the whole series anyway. GS didn't double team as much as you apparently want to think. Regardless that's just good help defense. Lebron should ...

re: Lebron and a decimated Cavs team lost in the finals - ChargerDog91
The thing is if Lebron does anything more than shoot horribly inefficient like he did all series and make some of those barely contested layups and his free throws. We are talking about Lebron winning another championship. That's what so many people fail to see about this series. Yes Lebron put u...

re: So the Finals MVP held his player to averages of 36 pts, 13 rebs, & 9 asts per game - ChargerDog91
Lebron's piss poor shooting percentage had to do with Iggy. It took Lebron almost 40 shots a game to hit 36. That's horribly inefficient....
