Spoiler warning..

Reading Fire and Blood. From the moment Aegon the conqueror unified Westeros...younger Targs were betrothed to other houses...The Targs also had a ton of bastards. For 300 years "Dragonseed" was sowed trough most of Westeros.

Tyrion: Let me give you some advice bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.

Jon: What the hell do you know about being a bastard?

Tyrion: All dwarfs are bastards in their father's eyes.

A little cryptic?

My guess is that Tyrion plays a major role in the final outcome. He’s tied to just about every major storyline and there was definitely some foreshadowing in his response to epic boat sex.

Prior to that scene Tyrion has been begging Dany to start some succession planning - who will rule once she is dead.

If she's banging Jon, then any baby would be an heir to the throne she creates.

I believe Tyrion had some sort of represenative democracy in mind when he was asking the questions. I wouldn't be surprised if he kills Dany or the baby.

I would be exceptionally disappointed if Tyrion turns out to be dragon-borne. Far too much of the show has been based on his being a Lannister, it would feel cheap if they just abandoned that now and made him something else.

And the "all dwarves are bastards in their fathers' eyes" comment is just him relating to Jon Snow and showing him that they share something in common (being looked down upon by practically everyone).

yea i agree. BUT it was odd that he was able to get close to the chained up dragons. unless being a dwarf man him look less of a "mean man" than a normal human so they figured he was there to help.

theres some speculation in the fandom that Tyrion is the son of Aerys and Tywin's wife so you may be right, but i don't think you'll be right for the show version of the story, but possibly the books.
The show just isn't detailed enough for this to happen.

Not ep 1. I think they tease that for the next ep or so; might even be part of the entire season...
A lot of this might be "if only such and such could get together, things will be ok".

Would be a shite twist. Tyrion is Tywin’s son through and through which is what pissed off Tywin so much.

expect the opening scene to be something along the lines of the Night King destroying a northern castle, maybe the Mormonts. The entire north in the grips of complete panic.

Why the fckk would he go to Bear Island?

My only response to that is comparing how for several years the show was based on John Snow being a Stark that could bear the name because he's a bastard. Everyone seemed almost giddy when they found out he was dragon-born.

FWIW, I rather like him being a Lannister. One other theory I am floating in my mind is that Cersi will die at childbirth like her mother did when Tyrian was born as a sort of Karma for her tormenting him for being born at the cost of their mother life..Then Tryian would raise that child and love him as a father should as the Lord of Casterly Rock

All in the 1st episode?

Im curious how much attention is shown to the Night King and his army destroying the wall.

I would think he's going to have a decent role in almost every episode.

You're not batshit crazy. GRRM definitely put a bunch of hints in that would lead to that sort of speculation. Tyrion had dragon dreams as a child for instance, and I think he read a lot of books about the dragon riders. And there was something about his favorite uncle that I can't remember - he either encouraged Tyrion's love of dragons or something like that.

The question is: were those all red herrings. GRRM put in a lot of stuff to get speculation going in a lot of different directions. Probably to muddy the waters of the real twists.

No, here's a better discussion of the scene in question.

Basically, when Dany dies, her dream dies with her. If her and Jon have a kid, then Tyrion is stuck with another lordling king like Joffrey. He's already been down that road.

It's also worth noting from the link I provided that Tyrion may have real love for Dany, and could be jealous of Jon. Tyrion could be losing his reason for helping Dany in the first place.

at this point.....That is why Tyrion wants to have a plan in place.

why would you think that? Joffrey was raise by his psycho sister.

i did not get any of that from the show.

but why are you saying this? because of redit? it could be argued that in the last few episodes, tyrion has been strengthening his reasons to serve Dany. he risked his life multiple times in serving her.(meeting with Jamie, going alone and meeting Cersi, giving his word on trusting people.)

But the dragons haven't always just gone berserk on people. Sometimes people get close and they don't react until given the command from Dany.
