re: True Detective S2E1: "The Western Book of the Dead" - lakeviewtiger
the city manager's ransacked home was full of lurid and weird art / items. I find it interesting that the three central characters all have some sort of issue regarding "sex." In a way, they could all be tied to it. McAdams because of her leaning towards being a bit non-typical in the sack....

re: True Detective S2E1: "The Western Book of the Dead" - lakeviewtiger
Strong exposition and development of story imo. It was very much a departure from last year's pace and thus worked to separate itself. Last year the pace matched the environments it seemed. A slow meandering story. This year, it is more urban and matching pace. The murder: very interest...

Me and winter sports dont get along. My idea of a successful ski trip is sitting by a fire and finishing off several bottles of bourbon with friends while my wife isn't bitching that I drink too much ...

re: Why are some adults obsessed with Disney World? - lakeviewtiger
As an adult, parent, married, three kids...I wasn't sure about dropping the coin to go to disney our first time. I did not thinks there was any way on GODS green earth that they could remotely even come close to providing me with value. I was wrong. The service was unreal. Yes it can be a crazy...

The Lone Ranger .... First watch - lakeviewtiger
I understand that this movie was panned, gutted then eviscerated. However, I watched it with my 10 yo son and tried to see what he was seeing as well. For him it wasn't about character development or contrived story telling....he was watching a movie for fun. I started watching it the same way...

re: Crackpot ASOIAF Theories SPOILERS - lakeviewtiger
On the Aemon knowing about Jon, I'm torn on that one. For reasons stated already, I don't believe that he knew who Jon's father was, but there were clues that he suspected he was a Targaryen.
What are these clues? Call me foggy or rusty on my asoiaf, but nothing stands out to me. ...

re: Mardi Gras Beads - Question for riders - lakeviewtiger
I ride in Thoth. I throw a lot. Over the past few years, I have noticed that people are less enamored with beads. Toys, trinkets and cool objects are the way to go. Something big, you can tease for half a block is a must. Also, the pneumatic twist confetti cannons are a hit during a stop. trust ...
