It's also worth noting from the link I provided that Tyrion may have real love for Dany, and could be jealous of Jon. Tyrion could be losing his reason for helping Dany in the first place.

I don't see this at all. Like, at all. There is literally nothing that shows that he is in love with her. Tyrion is a lot of things, but one thing he is the best at is playing the game. Just like Varys or Littlefinger, for the most part. Tyrion will align himself with whomever he feels he needs to in order to be successful, and for now that is Dany.

I think it has everything to do with positions and power and nothing to do with actual, legitimate love. In fact, to make it that way would severely undermine him as a character for the last seven seasons IMO.

but why are you saying this? because of redit? it could be argued that in the last few episodes, tyrion has been strengthening his reasons to serve Dany. he risked his life multiple times in serving her.(meeting with Jamie, going alone and meeting Cersi, giving his word on trusting people.)

He's risked his life sure, and what has he gotten out of it? Why did he risk his life? He begged Dany not to go beyond the wall to save Jon. He hoped that she could see the bigger picture. Nope. She wanted Jon. She risked her life for another man. Tyrion has to be asking himself "What's in it for me?" at this point.

But the dragons haven't always just gone berserk on people. Sometimes people get close and they don't react until given the command from Dany.

I have to disagree here. Tyrion was never trying to play the game for his own survival (at least not show Tyrion). Otherwise, he never would have gotten caught with Shae, would have consummated things with Sansa, and wouldn't have been so reluctant to work so hard for Dany at Varys' prodding. It's what makes the character different and special. He's got a heart and legitimately wants what's best for others as well as himself. He only agrees to work for Dany once she proves herself worthy... not the most likely to win or powerful.

All that being said, he definitely doesn't want to marry Dany. I agree it would undermine his character's arc.

Why did he risk his life?
so strengthen Dany.

He begged Dany not to go beyond the wall to save Jon.
so she wouldnt risk her life.

Because he’s been reading supposed leaks on Reddit. Nothing at this point in the show would indicate Tyrion has any logical reason or intention to betray Dany besides one ambiguous look at the end of last season.

Let Peter Dinklage explain it then

From the Article:

quote:

, the actor was able to shed more light on what emotions he was playing there: “It’s complicated. . . . A lot of the time with Tyrion, it’s professional and personal. Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her—or thinks he does.” Jealous love for Daenerys would explain why Tyrion was so dead-set against her flying up North in Season 7 to rescue Jon and Jorah from beyond the Wall and why he was so curious about her feelings for the curly haired King in the North. In that episode, he called Daenerys “the most important person in the world” while begging her not to play hero. It’s an oddly impassioned phrasing that makes a lot more sense if it’s coming from a man who loves her. Dinklage’s romantic interpretation—he has also used the word “smitten” to describe Tyrion’s feelings—also shines some light on this Season 6 moment after Tyrion tells Daenerys to leave her lover, Daario, behind in Essos as they travel to Westeros.

ooohhh so people making shite up. show me exact evidece from the show. not rumors on redit or an actor explaining something without any evidence. nothing he just explained is evidence in the show.

In a recent interview, Kit Harrington said that a big part of why Jon acts the way he does is because deep down he feels like a transgender toaster.

It’s canon bitches

He isn't opposed to her going North, leaving behind nasty Daario Naharis in Essos and her romance with Jon because he is in love.

He is opposed to the risks and distractions from their goal.

If that interview proves anything, it’s that Dinklage has lost touch with the character.

The only other person that has been allowed to touch one of the Dragons is Jon Snow, which we know is Dragon born.

Brown Ben allegedly had a drop of Targ blood and he had a connection with the dragons.

Reading Fire and Blood. From the moment Aegon the conqueror unified Westeros...younger Targs were betrothed to other houses...The Targs also had a ton of bastards. For 300 years "Dragonseed" was sowed trough most of Westeros.

---Spoilers---

Also found it interesting that Aegon was infertile. Not only that but most of the early Targaryen Kings seem to be infertile. The male dragon riders that frequently mounted during times of unrest all had trouble fathering offspring.

So there went that whole "keeping the blood of the dragon pure" thing. But hey, at less the Rhaenys being fond of singers possibly gave Prince Rhaegar his sweet singing voice 100yrs later.

The big thing that really got me thinking is his interaction with the 2 Dragons, Viserion and Rhaegal, when he decided to go down and free them...These dragons should have immediately smoked him when he got withing 10 feet because he is a complete stranger and they are pisses at being locked up...Not only did they allow Tyrian to approach. They allowed him to pet them and actually move into a submissive position to be unchained.

Quentyn Roast

So yeah during that scene and at the time I was all on board with Tyrion being the 3rd head of the dragon. I've since moved away from that belief. However, we do still have the dragon dreams. Does he ever mention his dragon dreams in the show? Don't remember.

Edt: I also don't believe Daenerys is a Targaryen. Well at less book Daenerys.

I think we see some reunions and all hell breaks loose in the north which Winterfell is well aware of and very close to the action. Set the tone for the final season from the start

Prior to that scene Tyrion has been begging Dany to start some succession planning - who will rule once she is dead. If she's banging Jon, then any baby would be an heir to the throne she creates.

I thought she was unable to have children?

I really don’t think Tyrion is in love with Dany, certainly not in the books. I think he finds her a bit entitled to be in love with her.
