Which one are you taking based on trailers?

Westworld

Am Gods

Bullet to my head I'd pick Westworld. I'll take any insight from people who follow these storylines. I'm not familar with the history of either of these but Starz and HBO look to have hit homeruns with them.

I'll be watching both myself. I enjoyed the original Westworld, and American Gods has good source material to work from.

Westworld first because I don't have Stars.

I'll watch American Gods (loved the book) when it's available online.

I'll probably watch both as well. I usually don't like to follow too many shows at one time but I think I'll need to make time for these.

Westworld. It looks like it will probably be better, but I really liked the book American Gods. It's far from my memory, though. I read it many years ago.

American Gods. I promise you won't be disappointed. Such a cool and well executed concept in the novel. Starz looks to have nailed the tone and feel. The trailer looks like the book jumped off the pages.

I really liked the book. It's heavily influenced by Roger Zelazny's stuff. I loved his books back in the 70's when I was in my sci-fi phase. American Gods is dedicated to Zelazny and another writer and Gaiman said "I think Roger was probably the best fantasy/SF writer of the ’60s and ’70s when he was on form. I really wasn’t trying to emulate him. I was just trying to write a book that I thought he would have liked."

If anybody is interested check out the Amber series, Lord of Light, and Creatures of Light and Darkness and you can see some of where American Gods is coming from.

Anxiously awaiting West World as I was a huge fan of the original as well as Future World. The trailer for American Gods sold me though.
Is Starz programming available on one of the streaming services without a subscription?

This is one incredible book. That trailer seems to capture it well, and I am fricking stoked to see it. Read the book and you will agree

Would be awesome to see Amber in an HBO series, and LOL as a movie. Not that it would ever happen since ROger has been dead for too long, but they would be amazing.

American Gods has more potential but I have a hell of a lot more faith in Westworld being good-- HBO doesn't mess up its top tier dramas.
