Her plan put in place worked, until Poe's little mutiny and plan to be the heroic figure of the resistance fricked it all up.
If Poe would have trusted those who he had enough faith in to join up with knew what they were doing, the resistance gets safely to that planet with the New Order thinking they've all been destroyed.
Poe's arc is that he learns you don't always have to fight head on to win.

If you were such a fan of Star Wars, this shouldn't be a big surprise that he doesn't fight.
He had his time. It's over. Just like Ben and Yoda in the OT.
And he doesn't need to teach Rey to be a fighter or to use the force, something he learns by observing her do both on her own.
So he decides she must be taught what he never was taught, and he had to learn on his own: the Jedi and their teachings are not what controls the force.
He realizes that Rey doesn't need training, she needs guidance.

tell me again when Leia had any jedi training? tell me again how jedi powers save your lungs from exploding in space? if jedi's, and i use that term loosely b/c Leia isn't a jedi, can survive outer space, why did Obi Wan and Anakin need devices to swim under water? shoudln't they just use the force to breath, or not breath?

Lol this movie fricking sucked.
There’s literally nothing to look forward to with Ep 9. It’s like this one was the end of this trilogy. Literally nothing worth a shite happened in this movie. It was all meaningless and a waste of time.
TFA while not great set up this trilogy perfectly and Rian Johnson took everything from that film and shite all over it.
Seriously, what is there to look forward to with 9? There’s nothing to know about it from 8.
Also when has fuel ever been a problem in the SW universe? Since when can you drop bombs in space?

Solo was never going to be a gigantic hit. Not because of TLJ, but because nobody was psyched to see a Han origin story without Ford.
