Yes since you continue to not offer them it just proves you don’t have any.

You originally said because no one thought of it. Seeing as this civilization had hyperdrive from probably centuries, it existed as normal tech in the prequels, by the time TLJ takes places, OM is correct the only ways it’s plausible that no one thought to weaponized it before means they’d all have to be beyond stupid.

Neat. Does someone need to explain why this is irrelevant to you.

Again OM said when tech is invented humans immediately look for ways to weaponize it to which you replied read a book, so an example of a new tech that was weaponized immediately is in fact relevant to the discussion. But since you aren’t interested in a discussion it’s notnsurp you don’t understand that. So site examples or we know you’re just a troll with nothing to offer

It's either that, or he loves trolling more than any other member of this site.

Yoda didn't destroy the texts. Rey had them on the Falcon at the end. Yoda blew up the tree to make Luke think they were destroyed.

Let me explain this in a way that might make sense to you.

Me: "There are no purple apples."
You: "You didn't give examples of purple apples not existing!"

We were talking about the one specific incident in TLJ.

Now, start over and try again.

OM you know he is a troll. Why do you engage his nonsense? Hes defending this movie for one single reason: the SJW aspect

Not even close. This movie sucked, and I said so several times. It didn't suck because someone rammed one ship into another ship.

Yes you can. It's completely possible that it was never done before because no one thought of it. Or, maybe because these types of attacks are largely inneffective. Or, maybe because it's a waste of resources that can be better used another way

What demonstrates the poor writing is that all the explanations you provide could have been worked in with a mere handful of lines (which could have easily been fit in by cutting some pointless stupidity in other scenes like the pointless code breaker mission, the Finn/Rose awfulness or pretty much most other scenes in the movie).

But the creators were so tone deaf it’s like they didn’t even realize what a plot-Pandora’s box they were opening and the need to at least try and qualify it with a minuscule explanation. In other words, introducing some detail that justified why this would (or might) work in this specific situation.

The problem with that scene is Ackbar should have been at the helm, and right before he punched it there should have been a cut to a First Order officer yelling "It's a trap!"

Send out a favorite character in style and one hell of a nod to the fan base and internet. People would have lost their shite in the theaters.

But it's Rian Johnson so ya.

TLJ did not suck. Rose sucked. She sucked on a level not seen since Jar-Jar Binks. But Rose was foisted on Kennedy, et. al. by Disney.

And the SJW aspect was largely exaggerated by basement-dwellers who over identify with certain characters and can't seem to grasp that the characteristics that make someone heroic aren't confined to one race or sex.

Yes, the movie had flaws- like overstating the involvement of Luke Skywalker & overly appealing to 12 year olds -but that should have been known going in.

All I can say is I remember a guy who walked out of ROTK, because the Witch-King was supposed to destroy the Great Gate of Minas Tiring at night and Gandalf was supposed to stand alone and face him. Instead he missed the awesome charge of the Rohirrim.

Don't let something you don't like keep you from something you do like.

Except that those "basement dwellers" had no issue with Leia, Lando, Mace Windu, etc. from the prequels and OT.

TLJ was full of diversity for the sake of being diverse. And it showed. Badly.

Yes it did. There's a lot more to dislike than there is to like.

A better director makes this a good movie.

You're barking up the wrong tree with this.

Outside of Rose hogging up screen time what diverse character was bad? Holdo acquitted herself well. And I love Captain Phasma.

What you said is that you are OK with a token character every now and then if I am not mistaken.

It is not that women were leaders in the film, Star Wars is full of that and everyone is fine with it. No shortage of strong female characters in Star Wars in the first 6 movies. The difference is the original movies didn't make a point to tell us how bad and stupid men are. The fan backlash has nothing to do with being sexist and everything to do with those in charge being stupid. When feminists takes things over they have an agenda. It is not just 'men are bad'. It is a lot of other subtle things spread out over the course of a movie. Telling a good story that is interesting is not important to them. Social engineering and pandering is what they are after, sort of like the ultra liberal English professors at any state university seek to do. They want to influence young people to think a certain way. That is what Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy and her cronies are up to.

Diversity for the sake of diversity is not the problem. Rouge One is probably the most liked Star Wars movie outside the OT and the primary hero’s are a woman, an Hispanic 2 Asians and a robot. The villains are 100% white guys. And no one cares or complains about that because it’s a good movie and they aren’t trying to beat you over the head with a message. A few pages back Freauxzen breaks down the “message” issue in TLJ very well. I do think it’s a little overblown, it’s a bad movie besides, but because its a bad movie and they are trying to beat you over the head with the message it amplifies it.

It’s also a huge cop out to blame it solely on “basement dwellers”. Anytime someone criticizes a movie where SJWs are trying to promote a message, the knee jerk reaction is to just call them “racist, sexist, homo/transphobic” even if the criticism was just about the movie in general.
