As a non-comic reader, I hate the multiverse stuff. It's "cool" factor reduces the stakes for anything.

The whole post Endgame movies have been a mess and so disjointed. They introduced an interesting character in Shang-Chi with some cool potential lore, but nothing has been followed up. The Eternals was a mess. Celestials seem like a cool concept, but again, nothing has been followed up. Then you have just a hodge podge of mediocrity. GOTG 3 was the only thing that was great, but that arc is so separate.

The only thing truly great has been Loki because Hiddleston and Wilson have great chemistry and Majors is awesome.

None of the other leads can carry Marvel forward. I'm gonna be honest, X-men has been done so much, I don't think it's the savior, and Fantastic 4 just doesn't do it for me.

Quantum Realms, Multiverses, other dimensions, realms....it's getting to the point where everything is bleeding together and I am not interested in watching anything

People saying that Kamala Khan is the best part of the movie. Not shocking. Chick oozes charisma.

Imagine a 19 year old helping the 35th movie in a universe more than the 34 year old beloved in Hollywood for her social justice.

This x1000. I really don’t think you can do any sort of series based around multiverse or time travel stuff, because once you pull on the thread (as you’ll do with a series of movies or shows), it’s clear that nothing matters as you said, because you can always just redo in some other timeline.

Additionally, it’s absolutely a mistake to try to put really important story stuff in tv shows. I’m a grown man who likes to sit in a theater from time to time and watch some Transformers or superhero’s fight each other with a box of popcorn, but you’re batshit if you think I’m watching these thousands of marvel shows that they’re making to be able to follow the plot. Nowadays when I try to watch one of these movies, nothing makes a damn clue bc I didn’t see whatever episode in whatever tv show introduced this character or plot twist.

It’s so silly and alienates anyone who doesn’t watch everything.

This phase has been a disaster, but I do think they can turn it around by just focusing on the Xmen and F4

I really wish they would have had Doom be the next big villain

Dan Murrell is one of my favorite YouTube critics because he's usually very fair and level-headed. Not a shouting hot take machine.

He says: "It's an unmitigated disaster... It's the culmination of every single mistake the MCU has made over the last 15 years. It surprises me this movie was deemed fit for release in the state that it's in."

Good Lord.

Considering it has been repeatedly pushed back and reshot, Disney apparently just said “frick it” and decided to cut their losses.

Exactly. The embargo being up just one day before release shows you they had no confidence in it.

End result of Marvel trying to make too much stuff at happen at once on top of the villain being a lazy knock off of Ronan apparently.

It's not all Marvel's fault, I think Disney is more to blame. Chapek, especially. We'll see if Iger can right the ship.

Terribly miscast. She’s the best friend to the star of a romcom, not the lead villain of a Marvel movie.

But the worst part is the plot. They are literally stealing from Spaceballs.

So she's Carol's father's, brother's, nephew's, cousin's, former roommate?

couldnt have put it better myself.

as a long time comic fan it was fun in the beginning but now that Disney has taken over they have turned out shitty product after shitty product. I guess im glad that it stayed mostly good through to end game.

I’ve read reviews from a bunch of people and they’re mixed, some love it, some hate it, some say it’s a fun but forgettable movie.

The thing that isn’t mixed is I haven’t seen one person say something good about the villain, which was pretty obvious by the trailers.

Wow. The normal Disney apologists even hate it.
